Sired by the Ash King of the Blightlands with a human concubine, Gerra is a half-giant. He stands taller than all but the tallest of orcs and a shock of red hair bursts from his head like tongues of fire. He fears not the lick of flames, nor can they burn his ashen skin. Yet, even the smallest river poses danger, for he cannot swim and were he to take a dip in its depths he would be afflicted with the worst of agues.

True to form, Gerra's temper burns hot and can cause him to lash out in displays of unmitigated destruction. But unlike most of his brothers, he sees the value in commerce and lusts for fine culture. His rooms in the molten halls are laden with sculptures from the dwarven halls, rich rugs from Alliria, and tapestries from Vel Anir. He learned metallurgy from one of the great dwarven smiths of Belgrath, captured and put to work in the forges of Molthal. Gerra takes great delight in such wondrous creations. He is jealous of Alliria and its great wealth and feels as though his brothers and the blight orcs prevent Molthal from seeing such riches.

What he cannot gain through oiled words, he takes through force of arms. He commands a full legion and is no stranger to war. For all that, he is no swordsman. In battle, he wields a smithing hammer with the gracelessness of a rampaging bull.
