Odessa looked over at him as he nudged her, quietly chuckling at the statement he used to begin his speech. "For better or for worse... is this a wedding?" Another laughed followed before she would address the points, refusing to draw any attention to the shade of pink that began to creep across her cheeks and nose. "I am glad you have not had the pleasure of meeting Leander. He'd probably kill you for yesterday. Even if it was my fault."
A training exercise in restraint, they could call it if anyone ever found out. One they both failed.
"I don't have friends." Odessa stated bluntly. Honestly. Though not always a choice that she had made. "If that is what you are trying to do, I regret to inform you that it would all be in vain." Her hands bumped into his and, against her better judgment, she grabbed onto his- only to pull him out of the way of some busy local doing business. "I don't plan on killing myself, if that's what worries you. I'll live as long as I can, but I've made a lot of poor choices and deals that I cannot fulfil." She did not continue, but she did let go of his hand to open the door to a nearby inn.
