A mop of dark brown curls atop his head, he has styled his hair so that the sides and back are cut back short and allowing the natural state remain to lightly brush against his brows. Under hooded eyes, murky greys can be seen, although they can appear dark. With a square jaw, high cheekbones, and a straight nose, Rhidian has all the appearances of a Vaughn, a military family heavily involved with the Anirian Guard.

Enlisted into the Guard at age fifteen, and educated in warfare by his father and uncle years before that, Rhidian is well versed in combat. Not only is he quite skilled in weaponry, he is also adept at hand to hand combat.

His admission to the Academy came about after an incident involving being taken by hostiles, when the moments before being beaten to death, Rhidian had accepted his fate, had accepted death, and thus self-detonated in power. He was brought back to consciousness days after, waking up in the infirmary of the Academy and his father informing him of what had happened.

Rhidian was to be the first Dreadlord in the Vaughn family.

Not the friendliest to approach, due to his preferable resting face appearing to scowl, Rhidian is in fact a very friendly and loyal being. As a friend, he would love nothing more than to hang out and be part of the adventure. Not at all a lone wolf, and not one to get annoyed easily, Rhid likes to challenge and motivate his peers. If he wants to be best in the class, then the class needs to be the best of the best. No one will be left behind in Rhidian's eyes.

On the subject of his magic, his entire demeanor changes. It is the only thing about him he wishes to not cooperate with, and hates how he feels when he drags on his training sessions.

The only Proctor or Dreadlord he has been able to get some progress in identifying his magic is with Proctor Urahil, although this is due to the fact he had never seen someone heal his breaking skin in a matter of seconds.
