Lilette Blackbriar was thought to be a Celestialist nun from outside Vel Anir, who cultivated a reputation for aiding the poor and downtrodden wherever she went. Though innocent at first glance, an Investigation forced the supposed nun to flee for Amol-Kalit, lest her true nature be revealed:

She was none other than The Black Knight herself.

A warrior who donned blackened plate to hunt cutthroats in the night, feeding off their blood as to give back more than she took. Even so, the battle against her own nature would test her own resolve and that of those close to her wherever she went.

Appearance

Often described as doll-like, she was known for her porcelain-pale but youthful skin, being one of the few glimpses one might catch behind the veil of black cloth adorning that small but lithe frame. If only they could see the plentiful snow-white hair hidden beneath, as if cloaked by Astra herself to hide pointed elven ears. Even her delicate hands are rarely seen, ever in leather-clad to avoid the sun. Much like the small fangs that rest in the corners of her mouth, forcing each smile to be closed and gentle. Instead, all that is ever shown in earnest are Blue-green eyes and their piercing stare.

Personality

Lilette was often thought of as strange despite her manners, mostly because of her archaic way of speaking that was result of her native tongue being an ancient Elven dialect that would later influence her use of the common tongue.

This gave the young elf an almost melancholy or dour presence despite the best of her efforts, though it was often to the delight of her tutors both in Fal'addas and The Bimaristan where she earned their favor in eager study of medicine despite her inability to heal through magical means alone. Others however found her speech grandiose and even frustrating, to which she merely mocked them out of some arrogant pride or even authority over those of lesser education, Even despite her humble circumstances since leaving the Falwood.

Indeed she ignored many harsh lessons since losing the right of nobility, though many more had been ingrained by necessity. Chief among them was a single rule by which she had survived:

Treat the kind more kindly, and the wicked much more wickedly.

Biography

Lilette Blackbriar was born in Fal'addas, where her family owned land and noble titles acquired through service to the Elders of that dwell there. Her parents were scholars and powerful mages, as were there parents and their parents before them.

Sometime during her childhood, the family became afflicted with a strange disease or curse that killed Lilette's siblings and began drastically affecting both her health and ability to perform arcane arts. As a result, she stopped taking magical lessons and spent most of her time reading in her quarters, where she was asked to remain for the safety of the family, although her illness did not seem contagious.

Lilette's condition continued to worsen over the years until the family doctors were convinced that she had mere days to live. Being an avid stargazer, Lilette chose to spend her final nights in a secluded clearing, where she was interrupted by a stranger one night.

After striking up a conversation, He asked to hear Lilette's story and offered a solution upon hearing it. He offered very few details but told her that he could take away the pain, and with her permission, bit Lilette on the neck, revealing himself to be a Vampire.

Lilette feinted from blood loss and would later awaken in her family home, surrounded by blood and corpses. Though unable to identify the bodies in her panicked state, Lilette assumed that she killed her family and servants, choosing to flee Fal'addas with no plan and no assets.

She would spent a year abroad while learning to live as a vampire through trial and error, hunger building upon impatient tenancies and the lack of guidance leaving Lilette ignorant of her own potential. Initially, she tried to live among a convent of Celestialist Nuns in order to disguise her nature and keep a roof over her head. However, a lack of safe feeding opportunities proved challenging, and after nearly attacking a member of the sisterhood, she chose to hunt other sentients in the night.

Upon choosing this new method, Lilette returned to Fal'addas briefly to retrieve her brother's arms and armor, which seemed to call to her from a sealed tomb outside the city. Perhaps possessed or imbued with the memory of her brother, Godfri Blackbriar, The armor and sword formed a magical bond with Lilette.

From that day forward, she roamed the lands of Arethil as a vigilante, feeding on villainous sorts in the night and tending to the sick and poor in the guise of a nun by day. To that end, she spent many months studying medicine and science in The Bamiristan, The renown medical collage of Ragash.

Even so, her primal nature often led to bloody killings wherever she went, leading to rumors of an armored warrior or vengeful spirit.
