Despite the overwhelming sense of dread wafting up from the corpse-infested waters surrounding them, Vaima had enough free headspace left to feel peeved at Mabbon's warning. She wasn't stupid- it was pretty obvious the path half destroyed by a tidal wave would be unstable. It was surrounded by water, anyways. The worst thing falling from the road could do to her was force a detour.

She latched onto that annoyance as the trio set out. It was better than dread.

Vaima closed her eyes briefly during the first few steps forwards, the drizzling rain lending her footsteps certainty despite her loss of vision. Each time a drop hit her skin, the faintest flash of tan returned to where it impacted. Like sand, almost.

She mentally reached outwards to the waters below. Fortunately, their unfortunately twisted nature made that easy. The radiating wrongness was like burning suns in the dark behind her eyelids. She straightened her shoulders and stood tall; you had to be firm when trying to move large amounts of water, and she'd found that proper posture helped give her the necessary confidence.

Vaima then pushed against the waters. Immediately, she almost stumbled as she felt a similar force push right back against her. The waters slowly receded as she passed them, however, moving towards flat land as Rovias had requested.

Satisfied that she had enough control, she risked distractions and opened her eyes. She quickly noticed Rovias watching her, and her limited command over the waters flickered as the pressure of not making a fool of herself was added to the force they already exerted. The liquid below went oddly motionless. A heartbeat later, Vaima clenched her fists, and the water began receding once again.

She was hardly phased by the growling echoing around them. Compared to everything else, it was a lesser worry. She focused on her annoyance again in an attempt to drown out the worry, and a hint of it leaked through into her slightly strained voice.

"I wouldn't rely on myself as a lookout right now. I'm a bit busy."

Reactions: Mabbon Dreierg
As Villiam and Vazia dealt with those who had been uncovered from this particular pile of rubble, Mordred turned to regard the rest of the city the clean up team had yet to deal with. It was disheartening. A good two thirds of the city had yet to even be reached. It was too dangerous on foot and buildings had to be cleared before crews could be allowed inside. They had already lost five of their own trying to save those trapped beneath their homes.

His eyes slid to Boy Wonder, a thought stirring.

"Do you think you could get me airborne?" He was definitely going to regret asking the question but... "I should be able to sense at least some of those easiest to save from above. If we wait, crews might not get to them in time."

Reactions: Ayden
Ayden moved quickly, airflow going to that older woman Villam Regis had pointed out. His stone hummed around his neck and lifted beneath his shirt - stretching for the sky itself. The rusty-haired boy found it harder and harder to stay grounded as his magic went to those in the rubble and being pulled from it.

And still.

There was something foreboding about the color of the sky.

He could sense the winds around them growing restless. But serious thoughts were always hard to stick with Ayden. A boyish smirk wound its way around his mouth. That spark of mirth in his light eyes glinting in the sun as she looked over at Mordred

"Thought you'd never ask."

Ayden sized up the larger guardian and with a playful whoop, Mordred would suddenly find his feet leaving the ground as he floated upward. Ayden shot into the air first and higher, with a playful abandon to gravity, structure, and authority. The higher they went, stronger winds would fight against Ayden but he kept Mordred steady and unaffected.

"This high enough Mordy?"
