Shayleigh stood there for a long while, or what seemed to be that is. Going over all the details that she could remember from what had just transpired, doing so while looking at all the damage the fire had caused. What they had just done.. she couldn't even wrap her mind around it. It was, amazing.. No, far more then just amazing. Of course, maybe she felt this way because of all her years spent alone made it seem bigger than it actually was.. somehow, she doubted that.
She was still convinced that this had been all Tharu's doing, not hers. There was just no possible way. Now, she could see how she might have added to it given how close she felt to the forest but even then, she couldn't have done this. "I... what?" She questioned him, not sure if what she had just heard was correct. "Me? I called out.. I don't think that's right.." She shifted her confused gaze from the smoke over to where he sat.
"I don't understand." It was far more confusing the more she thought about it and there was no doubt she was causing most of that confusion by doing so. "Tharu, I’m sorry but you're going to have to explain this because if I remember correctly, we'd discussed that there was a slim chance I'd even be able to learn how to hear it.. Now this? I just don't understand." It wasn't that she didn't believe him, it was just something that was hard to believe. Thankfully, she didn't have to wait long for him to explain further.
The moment he mentioned her having the voice, a flurry of emotions washed over her. She wasn't sure if she should laugh or cry, but then he followed that up with telling her that she had saved the forest with her will and that’s all it took. Shay laughed, that laughter was joined with a tears, quickly wiping them away. “I’m sorry.” Shay apologized. She wasn't even sure why this had made her emotional, why any of this was making her feel like this.. But it was and she shook her head in utter disbelief.
"So you have a thought on what happened here?" Shay mentioned, taking one last look over the disaster before catching up to him. A few steps in and her ankle was quickly reminding her that she needed to slow down with a sharp pain that ran up her leg. The bite hadn't even been an active thought until then. She hissed softly, trying not to put too much pressure on it but managed to walking, nonetheless. "There's not many who travel out this way, that I know of anyway. This couldn’t have been an accident.”
