Vittoria Larrainth

place of honour.
Appearance
With dark, long hair, reaching her waist when loose, she wears it in a tight, coiled bun or in a thick braid down her back. She has a light olive complexion, and unique eyes. Majority of her irises are green, flecked with brown and finishing at the center, a ring of sea blue.Vittoria stands at five feet and ten inches tall, and despite her slender form in her earlier years with the Academy, she has since developed a healthy figure with all the training she is put through.
Keeping to her noble roots, accents of sea green and bronze would adorn her uniform, subtle reminders of the House she was born to. She does not wear the family crest, so as to not truly give away her identity on the field. A constant accessory to her person is a golden medallion hung on a short, golden chain around her neck, with a name engraved on the inner side. It is believed this name is the last on her list.
The Arsenal of Vittoria
Born on the coldest day of winter of her birth year, Vittoria's birth killed her mother, and was later revealed to have consumed her twin in the womb. This occurrence allows Vittoria to wield a second magic.- Decimation:
- Pulls apart an object or being. Complex locking systems, the anatomy of clocks, turning beings inside out — to name a few.
- Concealment:
- The best use of this magic for Vitt is the ability to sheath knives and daggers over her person. She carries twelve, each found at specific magical pockets seemingly under her skin. Only by her hand can she retrieve them, but at least on one account has someone else gotten under her skin.
Additionally, she was always one of the stronger Initiates of her class, excelling in her offensive magicks, and her mastery of close quarter combat. Vittoria is fast on her feet, agile and quite fit in order to keep up with the expectations laid out by the Proctors of the Academy. With a legendary Dreadlord for a father, Vittoria held more expectations than most of her peers, and drove herself to breaking point to become worthy of being called the daughter of Tamhas Larrainth.
Personality
Vittoria comes off aloof, as her father would expect of her. She is dedicated to her craft; relishing in the cut-throat reputation she had built for herself as she wishes to one day reach the power her father did as a Dreadlord. Those that befriend Larrainth will find a fierce fighter, but those outside her circle would only be met with an impassive face.It can be said about Larrainth that she finds lust in the idea of bloodshed, that the bloodlust in her is a dangerous drive, and thus is favoured to more of the brute strength missions and often accompanies Dreadlords to heavier front lines due to her fascination and clear control of her decimation magic.
She cares more about legacy than noble birthright, but is not so kind and generous in the idea of leaving her inheritance to be split with her step mother and step brother, the title favoured to go to Hael Larrainth. Vittoria treated these intruders in her home life with malice and distrust, and since the passing of her father, has only made her intent to be rid of them known.
Allies
- King D'Amour
Her one true friend at the Academy, someone that shares the same principals at being their best selves and working on perfection. Vittoria sees King as the sibling she never had.
Tamhas Larrainth served the Great House, but also his own minor house is a vassal of the Viraks, based in Vel Luin.
Through her mother, Alicia Pirian, she has blood relations to another Great House.
Known Background
Vittoria Sky Larrainth hails from a famed family of Dreadlord renown, although the Larrainths are considered a minor noble house despite their decline in power, but not money. The House of Larrainth used to design well crafted shipping vessels before a competitor continually challenged them into selling their business for a handsome sum. Their house colours are sea green and bronze. Her father, Tamhas Larrainth, is a First Rank Dreadlord that retired due to the total reconstruction of his left leg after acidic magic burned through to the marrow. His magic stemmed on heightening emotions, and was known for his fear tactics and brought enemies down by invoking their despair. He always taught Vitt the way to glory and kept a strict routine in preparing her for such a future, up until her powers manifested at the age of nine, and thus her admittance to the Academy. In the last year, her father had passed, leaving her step mother and step brother at home in Vel Luin.
Vittoria is also cousin to Elise Virak, and to Liliana.
