"Well, she must've been very talented," Fraeya added on quietly. She didn't know if that meant she was dead or not. But if his mother taught him how to garden, it was more than clear that she'd been gifted in that. Fraeya couldn't imagine growing up with those brutes who had attacked her in the pass.

"Wait. I can smell fresh blood up ahead."
