Dejan dispatched another specter and turned as he heard Faramund's plea. He could see that the Sworn was beset but still managed to send Syr Nathaniel in the Pursuant's direction. He reached out with an earthen arm and grabbed the former knight by the collar, yanking him bodily through the breach. It was not a gentle thing but the time for subtlety had long since passed.
"Guard up, Syr!" barked the Pursuant, orders reminiscent of a time since passed. Muscle memory snapped Syr Nathaniel to attention. However Dejan was not sure how much good it would do either of them. Countless shadows had closed in around the pair, leaving no room for egress. Dejan's wound was seemingly of little concern considering the scale of their adversity.
Suddenly all came to a halt which culminated in the eventual dissipation of their spectral foes. It seemed Syr Adjantis was successful in his task. Dejan noticed a twinge of concern in Syr Nathaniel's eyes as he glanced back towards the glade. The full breadth of the Fae's influence would still take some time to get over. There were those at the Monastery who could assist in the matter but Dejan suspected the man simply needed some distance.
The Pursuant looked towards the feline knight as they finally regrouped. "That was well-done, Syr. These days it can be hard to forget where one's true enemies lie. Only a little of my blood was spilled to rescue one of our own. This is quite an acceptable result, indeed."
Now it was time for them to return home, there was still much to be done.
