Open Chronicles From the Ashes

A roleplay open for anyone to join
The crimson-haired Dreadlord was met with a nod, "I wouldn't dare miss that appointment."

A shrewd smile stretched his cheeks and after a moment of blue eyes peering deep into red, he began walking down the muddied trail. His boots sunk into the earth with each step. Before long, his figure disappeared completely, shrouded by the heavy rainfall. He disregarded the rain. Only thoughts of Selene occupied his mind.

He thought that, by supporting her ambition, the opportunity to deal a catastrophic blow to the nobility of Vel Anir would make itself present. Whether it be ten or fifty years, he was resolved to see this through.

The downpour would drown out the sound of Yves Oudin laughing to himself.

A little luck and help from a transparent friend, Issy, Gabby and Hansel made it safe from the city that was smoldering in ash and smoke. A deep sense of sadness moved through out her body like a cool chill, a shutter deep inside her stomach loomed, as she thought on those innocent’s dead.
It was obvious that her ex traveling companions bring nothing but death and destruction wherever they go.

“Such a waste.” She whispered low under her breath; Hansel was still concentrating on guiding Gabby along the road.

“Sorry Miss?” The boy asked not really hearing Issy.

“Nothing, nothing. . .Lets go a few more miles before setting up camp, it’ll be night soon.” She stated at least she was glade to have some supplies left.

Issy, estimated with luck whatever creature that looked in the between wouldn’t find her that soon, she’d have time to collect items and then make a charm keeping the bloody thing away from her.
Hansel did as he was told, and soon they found a nice little spot far enough from the road, that strangers really couldn’t see it, but it wasn’t too far that they’d get lost.

Issy, helped the boy make the fire best she could and once it started, she sat back preparing the supplies she had, handing the boy an apple first to curb his hunger, while she unwrapped some dried meat and other items to make a nice supper.

She’d seat herself upon a nice patch of earth near the fire, and Hansel for some reason sat himself near her but more in a way he could easily keep eye open in case someone or thing approached them.

As soon as they got comfortable the gods decided to gift them with rain, and the fire began to go out, great . . . she sighed with Hansel's help she took the sacks and things she had and made a tarp like thing over the back of the cart, she'd wrap Gabby into something, to keep her warm, as she and the boy crawled into the cart's back and they both rested there, snuggling close to keep warm, and ate the rest of the items.

It was good that nothing they had needed to be heated, as they waited out the rain until morning.
