As the night progressed Aurora shared so much laughter with Raea, dancing together amongst the others who also were sharing in their glee. It was magical to Aurora, freeing to say the least; she had felt completely open with Raea as they reconnected in this new place. It was hard to believe that she didn’t remember their first meeting, but regardless she wouldn’t ask questions but love her as is.
It was a rare thing for Aurora to have someone to connect with so quickly, especially when everyone is so busy pushing her to meet her duties as Queen. All she wanted to do was be free, a woman, a girl with some adventure under belt. To see what all life had to offer her before completely dedicating everything that she was to her kingdom, to the fae that looked to her to protect them.
Free, that is exactly how she felt in that moment dancing and twirling with Raea. Stopping in mid twirl to catch her breath, she laughed. “Raea, I don’t want this night to end!” It was the girl inside her coming out, careless and incredibly free. She was just Aurora, no one else at this very moment.
Reaching for her friend's hands, she pulled her close for a moment, smiling brightly. She plucked a kiss on her cheek before letting her go the moment a burst of color splashed across the sky, her green eyes moving to greet the sparks. A whispered “Wow.” left her painted lips, her eyes following the different explosions that appeared as the caster of the moment created designs in the sky above.
