"At first, dreams seem impossible, then improbable, and eventually inevitable."

He was clanging his sword as hard as he can against his shield, the echoing ring of the metal would soon spread on through out the nearby vicinity. Moments later, the armored man whom had been making the noise brought his shield to bear, as a barrage of rocks descended upon his position. Through his steel visors, the knight could only dodge and weave so much against the projectiles. An impressive feat wearing that armor, and a blessing that he was protect by such strong plates. One particular large chunk of rock went hurtled stright towards his head, to which then he brought his shield to bear, ducking as he did to allow the projectile to bounce right off the front end of the shield.

Karl von Stehlen, Baron of Strojland and Knight of the Order of the Iron Cross, a man whose stoicism seemed to match well with his profession...though admirably, the circumstances were rather frisky this time.

"Come get me!"

It was the most he could muster in terms of a taunt, the knight in black had never been much for taunting, but he was good at making loud noise with what he had. But Karl knew he had the full attention of the anomaly. He couldn't tell you what it truly was or where it came from, but the only thing he did know was that the thing needed to go down. The theory in this particular case was to hit it's center core and...it would do a thing...presumably, it would shut the thing down before it hurtled more rocks.

That was the hope, anyways.

The rock golam, seemingly angered further by the clanging noise that Karl was discharging, decided to try it's luck in melee. It was easily three or four times Karl's size, as every step it took shock the ground just a bit,. Meanwhile, the body itself, merely a number of rocks forming around it's yellow core, stretched outwards before swing stright towards Karl with the intent to crush.

It was a good thing the monster was slow, effectively telegraphing it's move set as it went, allowing Karl to get a move on just as it prepared to strike. Even so, the strike itself landed a bit too close for comfort; the impact was enough to throw up not just dirt but also the ground below, effectively sending Karl off his feet. Luckily, the knight was able to land into a roll, using the momentum to tumble a few feet away from his target. The amount of dust kicked up by that attack was enough to cake Karl's usual jet black armor in a coat of brown, from the red plume all the way down to his sabaton. But this was no time to stay down, even as Karl began coughing violently, inhaling the dust that got through his visors.

Wasting little time, the knight launched off the ground and began bolting forward. Soon after, the anomaly had spotted him and was now engaging, tossing more of it's "body parts' at him in an attempt to crush.

So far so good, everything was going according to plan: Karl hadn't been crushed and the thing was now following. Said anomaly was way to content on crushing what it seemed to be a mere fly, to content to realize that it was following Karl into a rather wide ravine, with it's head poking out as it continued stomping forward.

Karl could only spare a glance, as he threw aside the sword in his hand and concentrated on sprinting further forward. This was were he told her to wait...and with any luck, things'll go to plan...

That or he'll get crushed...one or the other...preferably the former...it would be too bittersweet if it were both....
