Ander's eager response had Samara feeling light on her feet. The desire to pin him to the cloud and do shameful things to the other Elf swelled within her heart. Where the well-spring of passion came from she hadn't any idea, but it was there and shone in her blue eyes. It was everything they-- she wanted. For people to embrace her. Love her. And she would in turn love them.

The male Elf was the first that had Dshara's full support. The way he brought out her beauty and radiance in her Dark Elf was unlike any before him. Should anything threaten Ander's very existence they would now need to deal with the combined fury of Samara and Dshara together.

This was the first time the Dark Elf could recall where she wasn't obsessed with controlling her urges or monitoring what the Dark Fiend within was doing. It was just so... relaxing. So liberating. How could Samara ever let Ander go when he brought so much peace and stability to her existence? Even if it might be at the cost of increasing an evil spirit's influence over her.

Samara helped Ander to his feet and smiled up at him as they stood before one another.

After Ander spoke of food from afar, the Dark Elf closed the distance to stretch up against him. "I have the greatest banquet right here," the Vampire whispered as though there was any living creature to overhear it. Samara was speaking of Ander himself, of course. Though it would be easy to confuse it with what she had in mind next.

Then she withstood, bounced back a few steps and reached down with her right hand to pluck a red sphere from a nearby open pack. Samara lifted the red-fleshed delight up until it eclipsed her lips; bright blue eyes peered over its top at the other Elf. A loud crunch of wet bone pierced the air before Samara slowly lowered the apple just below her chin as she chewed the large bite taken from the apple.

With each chew the Vampire strode closer to Ander. She reached up with her left hand to take hold of the back of his head, and stood on her toes to make up for the height difference. The Dark Elf pressed her lips to his and offered Ander the sweet nectar of the apple she'd bitten off.

She withdrew and held up the rest for her companion with a smile on her lips after the exchange. "Not so terrible, is it?"

Ander was left flustered as Samara approached him with care, whispering words next to him that made the resolute elven warrior look every bit as nervous as before, his pale face tinted with bits of red as his eyes searched the nocturnal horizon for whatever meaning could be found in those words, until his lips parted slightly in surprise.

He was the banquet, of course. As a vampire, Samara had no such needs as hydration or nutrition - everything she could ever need was nested in the blood of those unfortunate enough to be bitten and drained to the point of becoming husks. But surprisingly, Ander felt the tiniest bit of amusement in her 'joke', his lips now forming a shy smile as his blue eyes now gazed after her, anxious to take sight her fierce beauty.

As insane as it sounded, there was even an ounce of pride in being a recipient of her greatest desire, to her thirst for blood. If she now desired his heart, his body, his blood... Samara would have it all, and Ander would be happy to oblige her, as long as she offered her own love in return. He would want for nothing else but to be with her, to carve out a new path in that strange world, after his old home was left in ruins.

The Guardian couldn't muster up any words fit enough as an answer to her, but nonetheless Samara now took a few steps back, reaching for a apple she found in a nearby pack. Ander squinted with curiosity as she held out the apple just in front of her face, taking a large and wet chunk of the fruit that Ander had only tasted once ever since he left Aendreasas.

With each step she took towards him, chewing on that delicious fruit, Ander could feel his entire body twitching in anticipation for her imminent touch, for the softness and warmth she brought to him, and Samara seemed to know exactly what kind of hold she now had over him, as her fingers drifted the back of his head, the Dark Elf leaning in before their lips eventually pressed together again. Ander could feel the sweetest of tastes in that moment - though he knew not whether that came from Samara or from the fruit itself, but he craved for more, even letting out a timid moan before Samara pulled back slightly, smiling.

She was completely irresistible, and though Ander never backed down from a fight, the warrior knew he could never withstand her charms without being overtaken by an urge to be with her.

"Not so terrible at all." Ander agreed as his strong arms slowly wrapped around her waist, not allowing her to escape just yet. "Though I'm curious as to what other pleasures a foreigner like myself may find here..." His words rolled out charmingly and perhaps even teasingly, with a strong and daunting aura about him now, as the young warrior grew bolder and more aware of his own wishes, as he looked towards Samara. "What say you, Samara?"

If the Dark Elf enjoyed such playful teases, Ander would like to show her that it was a game that he could play as well... and that he hated to lose.

Samara smiled as Ander wrapped his arms about her waist to trap them together once more. "Other pleasures," the Elven woman purred as she lifted the apple up and gently pressed it to Ander's lips for him to continue eating. "The Dark Elves were banished from the Woodland Realm because of their hedonistic and violent ways. Many generations have passed since then, but the goddess Dshara restored my blood heritage; helped me remember the ways of my ancestors. You," Samara purred, "helped me see just what a blessing it truly is."

A lone fang bit Samara's bottom lip as her left hand slowly slid around Ander's neck, over his shoulder, down his chest, pivoted atop his belly, and perched between the man's legs. "We'll explore the goddess' grace together, Ander. We have all the time in the world." A heated sigh pass between her lips as the desire to do more than cuddle grew within.

Whether by sight or sound, Ander might sense movement nearby. A figure knelt before the camp fire and slowly poked at the dying flame with a stick after an extra log had been set in the stone ring. If Ander did look -- which seemed likely as they should have been alone -- he'd find one of those he'd slain was responsible. The wound he'd left in them was still visible, but their eyes were a solid black. The moment the man's attention was disturbed by the toil of the damned, Samara's hand would snap up from his crotch and firmly, but gently turn his head back toward her so they could gaze into one anothers eyes. "We're the only ones that matter, Ander. No one can separate us. Our love will last forever."

What had she been afraid of all this time? So much pain. So much solitude. And all Samara had to do was embrace what Dshara had given her. Though not Dshara herself literally. There was still a part that knew surrendering her soul to the Dark One would be a mistake -- for now. Still a part of the Dark Elf's soul not claimed because of the incomplete and exceedingly long ceremony that Dshara had needed to escape her prison.

"Shall I... tidy up the camp, first?" What, the relic? The cultists? The fate of the world? If Ander wanted to explore another facet of their rushed, ill-conceived, and corrupted romance... Samara couldn't deny the desire was there, burning a hole in her soul. Though if they were to indulge it might not hurt to dispense with the corpses. Perhaps the darkness could turn them into sentries to keep intrusions to a minimum. That felt like a swell idea.

Ander trembled slightly as Samara's hand slowly descended from his neck, passing through his chest and finally arriving between his legs, which made the warrior gasp in surprise. His eyes widened and he gazed at the woman as if he was laying eyes on a ghost, not believing the boldness of her move. The male elf could barely a time in that night when he felt that his blood had almost been drained entirely, as it now ran vigorously across his entire body - and more specifically, to where Samara now held.

Her words felt more as if they had been fading to the chilly breeze of the night, as his mind had been beset with feelings so primal that were completely unrecognizable to him, with Ander feeling his desire for that woman exceeding any boundaries that were still left standing. He bit his lower lip and let out a short moan as he closed his eyes shortly, taking in the pleasure of that moment. The softness of her touch on his face as she pressed the remains of that apple against his lips just moments before only helped to cloud his thoughts even further, though not that Ander would ever complain of that.

The Guardian had no idea as to what goddess Samara referred to, but her words caught his attention entirely. All the time in the world... Before their meeting, Ander feared he had been sentenced to a life of terrible nightmares as penance for his sins, justice for the errors caused by his recklessness and arrogance.

Could there be a different life for him? A new path for him to follow, alongside that woman who had completely seized his heart? As his eyes slowly drifted towards her lips, he supposed there was only one way to sate his curiosity and his desire, and he imagined that Samara also shared in those very same thoughts.

But before Ander could close their already short distance and take her lips for his, he felt a slight movement nearby, right next to him. Alarmed, he moved his head abruptly as his eyes scoured the distance in search of whatever threat was hiding, waiting for them, but it stopped short of finding a... man, poking at the dying fire. The warrior's face fell into confusion and near shock as he noticed the blackness of that man's eyes and the terrible wound he carried with him, only now realizing that it was the very same man he had killed just moments ago, while Samara fought that orc.

"Sama--" He tried to speak, to warn her of that ill presence, but his warning was cut short as he felt her hand pulling from his crotch and grabbing his jaw, gently turning his head around to look at her, as Ander fought to remain calm, though her words added more to his surprise.

A love that would last forever... Did she truly mean those words? Was she not taken by the shadows he had seen earlier?

Did Samara... truly love him? His already bright blue eyes shone with hope and uncontrollable joy, his hold on her waist tightening firmly as Ander brought her closer, perhaps even too abruptly. He marvelled at her smile and her intoxicating laugh as she spoke about tidying the camp first, but if he knew anything about that woman at all, was that her eyes gave away much of what she wanted, and he could see it now... The same desire, the same love.

"Those words, Samara..." His voice was low, yearning, filled with a mixture of love and lust. "Do you truly wish to stay with me, forever?" Ander now leaned in, closer and closer, bit by bit, closing his eyes before changing his path, as his mouth now set a path towards her neck, his lips barely grazing her dark skin. He sighed against her, pulling back slightly to run his lips upwards her neck and slowly against the side of her face, his breath burning like that of a raging dragon.

"Say it again..." Say that you want me again. Be mine, he thought to himself. As boldly as ever, it was Ander who now let his hands drop to more... intrusive areas, drifting down her waist and gripping her firmly, before kissing her neck again.

Why waste their time taking care of that dirty camp, when there were other pleasures to be explored now, far more important?

The more Ander's passion grew, the more Samara wanted to take it to even greater heights. It wasn't the darkness marionetting her body like the first time; but the euphoria and adrenaline from causing Ander to moan and writhe beneath her touch was addictive. She wanted-- she needed him to beg for more. Why? How? It no longer mattered.

The Vampire's smile grew as the Elf looked upon her with a hunger of his own. The man wanted her. Not merely physically, but for her to be his as he was hers. How brightly the passion burned in his heart and in his eyes. The need to hear her say those words once more and confirm that whatever darkness that lay in his past would be eclipsed and consumed by the dark road they'd walk together.

It became clear Samara would need Ander's lips free, and so she allowed the apple to roll over the back of her hand and plop onto the ground. It had served its purpose. The tips of her fingers brushed over the Elf's lips as they stared into one anothers' eyes. Ander, in response, forced their bodies together in his arms to make his claim all the more clear. Well, if he had any hope of keeping up with Samara and Dshara, he would need a firm grip.

An airy, hot sigh escaped Samara as the man leaned in to brush his lips against her neck. "Yes," she hissed.

Soft sighs, little kissed, and a desperate, pleading demand followed. It was glorious. Right and wrong no longer had any meaning. Desire was all they had and all they needed in that moment. "Yes, Ander'ashan, we will be together forever. Dshara has blessed me to give others my gift. Not even the gods will separate us. Join me. Be with me. I need you," the Vampire moaned as Ander grew bolder once more in his touch.

A benefit of being possessed by a Dark One was Samara was literally of two minds -- and only barely two souls. Dshara felt Ander deserved a reward for help her Dark Elf embrace life for once. It was a trivial matter to conjure the shadow to inhabit the corpses and send them off to stand guard at the perimeter. They needn't be the greatest warriors ever to scare off small prey and warn of larger ones. Yes, it was best if the two were left alone, Dshara felt. Well, almost alone.

Dark hands pressed firmly against Ander's back as he kissed her neck. Nails slowly dug in before her fingers relaxed and began to feel around the man's upper body. There were just a few inconsequential, but annoying, things separating them now. Samara couldn't bring herself to pull away to figure out how to dispense with the hindrances, but she had confidence her hands would figure out how to dispense with his shirt one way or the other.

Ander's eyes were all but possessed with passion, his body dancing to a tune completely unknown to him, though his mind attuned to it without much trouble. It was enough to know that he needed to feel Samara's touch, and the rest would guide itself. All he wanted to do was kiss her neck and feel her writhing under his touch, his lips grazing her skin as if he was trying to tempt her, to get Samara to beg for more.

He wanted more, but he also wanted to hear it from her. To know that she wanted as much as he did. His hands moved freely around her body, trying to explore every inch that she allowed, losing himself in the sensations that brought to him, and the warm joy it brought to his already burning chest once she confirmed, hissing next to his ear.

Samara truly wanted him, and that realization served only to embolden him further, as Ander's fingers dared to run wild throughout her body, finding cover between her legs, just as she had done with him. He let out a strong moan as the woman contorted to his movement, feeling Samara gripping him even tighter now, her own mouth now caressing the skin of his neck.

She spoke of a gift, a blessing to be passed down from her to others, but the warrior's mind was a haze, filled only with thoughts of pleasure, covered with the images and sounds of Samara enjoying herself on his arms. He knew not of what kind of gift she spoke of, but it was not a decision to be made lightly, and certainly not in his condition at present.

But it was... tempting. To hear her say that she needed him, to think of a eternity spent at her side, with no one to separate them... There was nothing Ander wished more than that, but he lacked any strength to give her an answer at the moment, with his lips also occupied with worshipping every inch of her neck, feeling her hands reach across his back and her nails digging on his skin. She seemed desperate to rid him of his armor, while Ander was also anxious to see her freed from her clothes.

"I want to see you." He whispered closely to her face, his voice much deeper than usual.

As Samara fought to remove his cloak and shirt, his eyes fell upon a tent just nearby, across the campfire. It was barely large enough for the two of them, but he could see a bedroll stretched across the ground, perhaps comfortable enough for the lovers to lie upon. Swiftly, Ander helped remove his shirt after she was done with his cloak, leaving a trail of clothes on the ground as he slowly pushed Samara back, his lips now pressed together in a hungry, needy kiss.

With their bodies fully bare now, Ander paused for a moment to admire Samara's breathtaking beauty, feeling his body going even hotter now, almost to a boiling point. He wanted to kiss every inch of her, to feel her completely... Ander needed her, just as she needed him. "You are beautiful, Samara." He spoke softly as the warrior slowly approached her, the light from the fire outside illuminating the inside of their tent, just barely enough that they could see each other.

They spent a long moment lost in each other's eyes, their hands gently entwined as they stood together in that tent.

The Dark Elf scratched and pulled at the Elven man in her grasp. When he sought to guide her toward the tent, however, he'd find the Vampire a resistant partner. Resistant in the sense she'd use her inelven strength to twist and pull the man so it was he that was pushed back toward the tent. Then she'd let him take the lead, but only so Samara could take it back again. The light of the campfire danced in her bright, sapphiric eyes with the radiance of a thousand full moons.

Oh, yes, she wanted him and didn't dissuade Ander from the carnal exploration of his touch. Nonetheless, the vampiric Elf hadn't become pliable by any means. Samara surrendered precisely what she wished to, and would gladly reassert control in whatever manner pleased her. Her companion had seemed quite smitten with her taking charge earlier so why change now?

The night's chill on her flesh was of no discomfort -- it had a strange familiarity to it -- as they dispensed with clothing. If thoughts had any place in this moment, Samara would have marveled at indulging themselves in an enemy camp with no knowledge of who or what else might still be out there.

Nocturnal sight allowed the Elven woman to behold more of Ander's physique than he might in the dim light of the fire witness her own. A shameless advantage, which brought a curl to the corners of Samara's lips. She waited for him to close the distance and take her hands. Indulged in gazing into his eyes. But only for a moment before her fingers slipped free, but not for long.

Her dark digits wound about Ander's wrists and guide his hands up toward her chest. She pressed the palms of his hands to her breasts before her hands slid down the length of his arms to Ander's shoulders. If he thought her so beautiful, Samara expected him to demonstrate by act what he so boldly claimed in word. Under her guidance, of course. The innocence in the man's eyes spoke volumes, which only bolstered her belief Ander should lay down first.

"I love you, Ander'ashan," Samara hissed. "Do you love me?" One more echo of what had already been said. One more chance for him to shy away and flee into the night. As far as she was concerned, however, the answer was already assured, and so her smile split into a fang-filled grin as she gazed down upon the evening's ensnared soul.

Before long, his attempt at pushing Samara towards the tent turned into a struggle for power, with the Dark Elf turned Ander around and taking control, though he now took her by her waist as they entered the coziness of the tent, his lips seizing hers once again. They were attuned to the same dance, with the campfire as their only witness, the risen corpses now scattered throughout the perimeter of the encampment as sentries, ready to stand fast against any soul who sought to interrupt that passionate moment.

Every kiss, every touch that they now shared... Everything felt stronger, as if his senses had always been possessed with the desire for pleasure, something that could only be felt whenever Samara ran her fingers across his chest, tracing the rough edges of his muscles and the marks that filled them.

He could almost feel her curiosity as she examined them, the markings of Aendreasas, a bond of power and protection that every warrior had to possess, and to endure the pain it brought to them in their Joining. With a smile, he gently took her hands, caressing them shortly before leaning in to kiss the elven woman again, this time in a less primitive way, as if Ander wanted to cherish her taste for longer.

They removed the rest of their clothing and left the unimportant and bothersome pieces laying around the outside of the tent, as Ander now gazed at the woman in sheer awe, completely taken back with the pureness of her beauty. He had never seen a woman's body bare in front of him like that, and he had never felt the urge to touch her in ways that he could not describe. Even in the dim light provided by the fire outside, his bright eyes admired her every detail, completely mesmerized, his heart throbbing with a mixture of feelings that he couldn't pin down.

Love, lust, passion, fear... Ander feared he could disappoint her, but he tried his best to brace against those thoughts, focusing only on her small but deviant smile as he took her hands again, losing himself in her eyes before being surprised that she pulled back from his touch, only to seize his wrists and guide his hands towards her chest.

Ander gasped, completely shocked as his hands touched the intimacy of her skin and her breasts, sending waves of pleasure throughout his body. His inexperience and innocence had started to show as Ander stood frozen, trembling as her hands slid down his arms before Samara slowly guided him down towards the plushy bedroll, before she took her place on top of him.

After barely hearing her question, so intoxicated by the feelings that had taken over his mind and body, Ander wanted nothing more but to shout to the four winds about the love he felt for that woman, but he was left without words after Samara took control of the moment again, her fingers slowly sliding down his chest, his stomach, until she prepared to finally join their bodies as one, with the Guardian melting with the raw pleasure of the act, a heavy moan escaping his lips as his hands grabbed at her waist.

The following hours were spent in a frenzied dance of sheer passion, with the warrior learning sensations he had never hoped to feel, all the hands of that woman. After their moans had filled the air and almost set it alight with a love that burned stronger than any volcano, they laid in a peaceful embrace on that roll, with Ander taking care not to bother Samara with any movements as her head rested on his chest, and his arm always kept her close, never allowing her to try and flee again.

"Samara?" He broke the comfortable silence in which they stood, his fingers gently running up and down her arm as the warrior called out to her, his head turning to meet her eyes. "I..." Just as he was mustering the courage to finally let his feelings for her known, he flustered again, even laughing at his own cowardice.

The mighty warrior, the fallen protector... the shy lover. He wasn't at all embarassed of the moments they shared that night, and his worries had been put to bed once Samara had uttered her confession of love to him just moments ago, and yet... He was afraid. Afraid that he could someday fail her, just as he had failed Aendreasas and the rest of the Guardians.

But he could not hide forever. He could not dwell in sadness and guilt for the rest of his life. Samara deserved to be loved, and he loved her. With all the strength left in him, Ander loved her, and he knew that to be the sincerest of truths.

"I do love you, with all my heart."

Ander had given Samara every excuse to release years of barely restrained, primal passion. Dshara had molded and shaped her would-be vessel -- the imprisoned Dark One's means of returning to the world -- by instilling the strongest of desires over the course of an entire year. Time had lost all meaning and even the Seraph that rescued her declined to tell the Dark Elf the truth by encouraging the belief only a month had passed. After the rescue, the Vampire had been kept in isolation which made the lie easy to keep. It also made barely constraining herself all the more shameful in her exile. She had been young, yes, but not that young. Her will should have been enough to last a month in the goddess' embrace, and yet so many dark thoughts plagued Samara out in the world. All of which the Elven men beneath her sought to set free in a single night.

At the peaks of consummating their mutual indulgence of lust and love, Samara's skin would become bone white and Dshara's name would be shouted defiantly toward the heavens.

A smile turned Samara's lips upward afterward as she lay atop his chest. She could feel the man breathing beneath her, hear the beating of his heart. and bask in the warmth of his body in the cool night air. A soft moan followed Ander uttering her name.

That smile grew when the Elf managed to confess his love once more. Her left lifted from his chest so that the pad of her thumb would pull down gently on Ander's lower lip. Bright, blue eyes shone in the night as Samara gazed at her smitten lover. "Mine," she sighed.

Yes, Ander was her's now. A poor, broken man that'd lost everything and in desperate need for belonging and purpose had been found by a Vampire in need of someone to free her from bondage. So much like herself and her goddess. Samara began to appreciate all the fiend had done for her now. Even breaking her soul had been necessary to free the Dark Elf from mental and emotional bonds imposed on her by others. Ander came to Samara with those already in tatters, which left them only with the delight of forging eternal bonds.

Now that man was her's. All Samara's. Anyone that got between them had best be a worthy member of their union or they would only live to suffer.

Slowly the Dark Elf leaned in to kiss Ander's lower lip and look up at him with her blue eyes once more. "We'll share everything together. We'll forge our own path; leave everything behind and create a new life for one another." Which shouldn't be difficult as they were both wanderers and drifters. Though there would be a small matter of the dark desires Ander had awoken in Samara... but the Dark Elf would help him come to adopt and appreciate a new perspective on the world. One Dshara had bestowed upon her to give to those worthy of their love.

Ander had never laid in bed with a woman before. Not that he lacked the urge or the desire for it, but as a Guardian of Aendreasas, his body had been shackled by a stronger purpose, one that required purity of both mind and flesh. He took vows, promises of honor that he could never break, or else his mission as a Protector would be forever forfeit.

But those oaths had long been broken. They fell to ruins, just as the rest of the small kingdom of Aendreasas, just like his home city of Avhalos, once so pristine. There were no shackles to hold him, nor any words of honor that he had yet to follow... His purpose was disgraced, thwarted and forever forgotten.

And yet, he had decided to push away those damning thoughts of the past. That moment was theirs, and Ander had decided to savor it. He rejoiced in the pleasure it brought to him, to have Samara on top of him, watching her mesmerizing dance, a ballad of swift movements mixed with heavy moans that filled the chilly air of the tent, though their bodies provided more than enough heat as they reached their climax many times over, though without any intention of stopping. He had even grown courageous enough to surprise Samara, pulling her beneath him, as he took his turn in pleasuring her.

In those moments, he had all but forgotten about the ailments of the past, or the lack of purpose concerning his future.

Though it wasn't a simple wish for redemption that drove him towards Samara. It was something even stronger, as he now realized it. It was love, in its purest form, the waves of excitement that drowned him with barely a look from the Dark Elf. Her fanged smile, as bright as the tall walls of the High Temple, where he spent so many of his years in secluded training, with the rest of his brothers of the Guardians.

She had pulled him from the edge of an abyss, a giant hole with nothing but misery that awaited for him, a jump that Ander had been anxious to take.

And just as she uttered it, Ander confirmed it with the most genuine of smiles, as Samara claimed him for her alone. He was hers, and she was his, forever bonded. "I am yours." He whispered with sheer passion in his eyes, gently playing with the fingers of her other hand, unable to look away from her eyes. The way she also smiled at him, the confidence behind her words, the love conveyed to him... Ander had realized that Samara was his second chance - a blessing from the gods, to show that his life hadn't yet been forfeit.

After she leaned in to kiss him, professing her desire to create a new life for them, with the Guardian by her side, the elven warrior felt too weak to hold back his emotions. Gently pressing her hand to his face, he reluctantly let a few tears flow down his face as he closed his eyes, feeling his chest aching again - though not with grief this time. He was thankful, and he would forever hold gratitude for that woman.

A new life, a new path, forged by them... By the look in her eyes, he could see that Samara truly meant those words, and that only propelled him to accept without hesitation. Ander opened his eyes and softly kissed her hand, before opening a smile as bright as a young boy's. "Stay with me, Samara." He sighed, hopeful beyond imagination. "After we find this relic, let us travel together, to where the winds will take us."

His hand drifted to her face, his thumb slowly caressing her cheek as Ander admired the most wonderful thing he had ever seen. And she was his.

Slowly Samara slid back on top of Ander's chest with her body pressed firmly against him. She slid up so their lips and eyes were aligned as her fingers slid up the sides of Ander's head. Light from the fire blocked by their bodies cast her features in shadow, yet her eyes glowed all the brighter. A breathy sigh escaped parted lips as her fangs were wrapped in the chill of night. "You're already mine, Ander'ashan." Her fingers curled and entangled themselves in his hair. Slowly she pushed back and down to roll his chin up into the air slightly. "I'll always be with you."

Dshara never abandoned Samara even when she refused to acknowledge the Dark One's gifts. Why should Samara abandon Ander? While the Elf had found a new bud in love, the Dark Elf had found one of obsession. Ander wouldn't need to worry about Samara abandoning him; he'd have other relationship challenges and perils to navigate.

Her fingers untangled themselves from Ander's hair as Samara rolled her hips atop his belly. "Mmm, should we go show those cultists their pet is no match for Dshara's acolytes?" It would be exciting to see her lover in battle. Samara had learned all about the blade with the loss of her magic, so she always liked a good show. Though if he wanted to use his special abilities she wouldn't mind seeing those either. Thankfully they hadn't disturbed their heated interlude earlier.

"I can feel the darkness in the mountains ahead growing. if we don't get dressed, we might be too late," Samara remarked breathlessly as she caressed the sides of Ander's face. Did they have to leave? Part of her wanted him to say they could stay there and forget all about the relic. All she needed was an excuse. A little push just as the man had supplied several times that night so far. Caring and worrying about the fate of the world was exhausting; if Samara was going to put in so much effort why not do it engaged in something more exciting? More pleasing.

'You're already mine, Ander'ashan.'

The way she spoke his name, so sweet and careful, almost like a soothing tune to his ears, mending his scarred soul. To hear Samara saying that she would always be with him, filled Ander with immeasurable joy, bringing about the hope that he would not have to face those nights alone anymore. That he wouldn't have to scuff and turn endlessly, as if looking for a better spot to lay his head, to suppress the thoughts that kept him awake. He wouldn't have to spend his time trekking the woods, with the animals as his only company.

There was peace in being around such marvelous beasts, even if they offered nothing but silence. Though somehow, they could always seem to tell that Ander was not a man made whole, but hollow. There was no hole in his chest, no lasting wound to catch the eye, but his soul and his pride had been torn apart.

Until, he laid eyes on Samara, by the river. On his mind, he kept recalling all the details of their encounter, barely a few hours ago, but still so vividly. He remembered her fierce look, the way she reached for her dagger, the battle stance she held in antecipation... She was remarkable, unlike anyone he had ever met before.

"A warrior of Aendreasas..." He whispered to himself, unbeknownst that Samara would have listened to him. She had been occupied toying with his fair colored hair, a trait from the Merëllien lineage. In his mind, she was also a warrior, deemed of honor and respect. If only his arrogance hadn't cost him the chance to see the beauty of Aendreasas again, he could've taken her there, to meet the equals of her skills.

For all the noble aspects of his bloodline, it were his flaws that stood out the most, that cost him everything.

As he tried to shake off those memories, Ander turned to look towards Samara again, once again marvelling at her beauty, being left without words upon seeing her so close. He couldn't recall what she had spoken before, but Ander could almost feel that she was itching for another battle, for another chance to take down the people that chased that relic for the wrong reasons.

And very much like his elven lover, Ander also longed for more blood to be spilled, in the name of justice, that is. They couldn't let those lands be bathed in innocent blood, they couldn't fail in their task to recover that relic, before everything was doomed.

But now, another thought made itself known on his mind, loud and unruly, his body warmily reacting to it once Samara began to turn on top of him, her bare skin touching his intimacy just enough to send shivers throughout his entire body. She seemed disappointed as she spoke of the darkness ahead, getting stronger by each moment they spent in loving embrace, inside that cozy tent, while taking comfort in the way she now caressed the sides of his face.

He didn't want to leave yet. Ander wanted to remain in her touch for longer, as if he depended on that to survive the rigors of the world that awaited for them. Suddenly but gently, Ander pulled her a bit closer, his lips hungrily searching for her neck and her bare chest, leaving a trail of kisses while his hands worked on parts down below, daring to be bolder than ever before.

"Let's stay for a while longer, my love..." He begged to her ear, before resuming his trail of kisses. The desire only got stronger, and he craved for more of those sensations that they felt that night, the summit of their passion from moments ago. "The dark mountains can wait for us, but I need you now. I only want you."
