The hug nearly broke her ribs and she squeaked as the air was forced from her lungs. It took effort but she managed to turn her head so that she could at least breathe in his embrace. It was not the reaction she had been expecting either. This man, full of emotions. She was not used to dealing with them merely inflicting them on people and leaving to let the chaos unfold on its own. Andromeda was about to ask him to let her go, the pressure getting to the point of hurting, when he finally did so on his own intuition. Carefully she rubbed her arms that had suffered the brunt of his strength and gave him the once over as if not quite convinced he wasn't changing already. Though... he had said he was stronger as a human because of the curse.
"The ocean is the best protection I can have, I would be away from here before they even noticed as long as I can get into the sea," it was no myth when people spoke with fear about how fast the sirens could swim. They could cover miles if they truly wanted to in a day. If he truly thought that was the best path and that was what would keep him calmest then that was the path she chose. She would be more stressed in a cave away from the ocean.
She didn't entirely understand where the question came about fresh water until her gaze followed his to the pond.
A literal point.
Andromeda gave him a dead eye stare.
"I am not. A Goldfish," she reminded him through gritted teeth. "Not to mention I would be a sitting duck in there. No. A sitting Koi Fish. But I can breathe in Fresh Water, it just doesn't trigger my change like salt water does. I would have to force it," it was a painful thing with the aid of the sea, but forcing the change was worse.
