"She's a runner I'll keep track of her better in she's not behind me."

He nodded his understanding. Then took out a length of rawhide. "Tie this to her collar, that way even if she does manage to get off you can hold her back. And... feel free to punish her if she acts up."

"I haven't had water in a day. I'm thirsty." Was what Ellice started out with, than it snowballed into an "I'm hungry." next an "I have to pee."

With that Syvis said disgruntled "If you're so damn dehydrated how in the gods' names do you have to pee? As I told you before we left; you needed to eat, and this would be a long journey. It's been roughly an hour, you're the bandit here, I am the noble start acting like a bandit and woman up."

He cackled at this. "Well, to be fair, one can still per without water, it'd just be either yellow or brown."

Lucky for them he'd taken a couple waterskins from the dead bandits, and they had water in them and passed it up to Ellice. Her hands were shackled in front of her so she could do it herself.

And he continued walking. "It'll be an estimated three days before we get to the stone, assuming no more complications happen along the way.

Syvis made a face. "No more discussing bathroom habits you lot."

She was already bored to death of this ride. She missed her carriages always warm with snacks rather then riding for days and days. Truthfully she planned to zone out for most these three days.

"Make sure we stop at some point for Smoke." Syvis told no one in particular. She supposed she couldn't enter reverie yet her zoning out was pretty close, she was aware yet she wasn't truly there anymore it really helped pass time it also helped her ignore useless people.

He huffed, "those aren't bathroom habits. We're talking about personal health and how to tell when you need to fix something that's gone wrong. You might need to know this yourself."

So the two women rode at a canter with Conrad effortlessly keeping up thanks to his vampire blood. And as the sun started to set they slowed to a stop. He helped the two dismount and he let Smoke graze a little.

He got a fire going and sat beside it and pulled Syvis onto his lap. "I hope the trip wasn't too uncomfortable for you two."

Syvis perched happily. "The trip was fine love. It was good for you?" She confirmed to make sure they didn't need to alter riding arrangements. She glanced at Ellice, "and what of you?"

"It was fine" Ellice's stomach rumbled as she spoke.

Syvis made a face she supposed she should find some sort of food for the little thing. "I'm going to hunt for Ellice. Watch her please." Syvis said standing up. Yes, Syvis wasn't as fast or strong as Conrad yet high elves were made for navigating the woods and to be a predator. She was built slender yet for speed and she did have sharper canines. They weren't fangs but they were helpful.

With her words and a loving pat on Conrad's cheek Syvis sprinted off. She hadn't enjoyed a hunt in a while and she was excited. As she navigated the wood she picked up the smell of deer. Syvis perched herself on a tree branch and saw a mule doe pass underneath. There was no time to wait for a buck and Ellice needed to eat. Syvis swung down from her branch and landed atop the doe stabbing her in the chest as she did so. Syvis wasn't religious yet she knew from her father that you wished an animal's spirit safe travel to the other side and thanked the gods for their flesh. She didn't relish in what she had done, yet she picked up the bleeding doe and swung her over her shoulders to butcher at camp.

Syvis perched happily. "The trip was fine love. It was good for you?"

"It was just fine Pet." He said smiling.

So she decided to hunt and while she was off he sat back against a tree to wait patiently. "Are you sure you're okay Ellice? You may not consider us friends but your well-being is important to us."

He set his new goedendag on the ground beside him and watched the young woman closely but calmly, he wasn't worried. But she'd be sleeping on a leash tonight, her little escape attempt would not be repeated.

Syvis arrived back at camp fairly quickly with the doe still across her shoulders. She looked at Ellice and Conrad then back at the doe. Maybe a whole doe was over kill for one person. "Any prefered cut of meat? I always liked the heart as a kid." Syvis asked in a weirdly motherly voice. This diplomatic thing was getting easier.

"Heart's fine." Ellice mumbled back to her.

"I didn't ask what was fine I asked what you wanted." Syvis said snippishly. This kid was going to get manner lessons when they got back to where ever they were settling. She determined Ellice could be her prodige. The girl was pretty enough and had little to no future.

"Steak please..." Ellice said rubbing the back of her neck. Syvis made a face and clucked her tongue. Not about the meat cut more about how Ellice acted manly. Women weren't manly. Women were dainty.

Syvis was serious about training Ellice as a lady. All girls that came into her home and her possession would have some sort of start in life she determined, as Syvis didn't condone slavery. She'd talk about it with Conrad tonight as she had no issues investing her own coin into Ellice's education and training.

Syvis put Ellice's steak on the spit first as she continued butchering. She called out "I've never been a cook myself get Conrad to help you look for something to put on it if you wish." She knew she had no right in most situations to order Conrad around but she figured this one okay as it was domestic based.

"Thanks." Ellice said to Syvis for once genuinely before standing up to ask Conrad to take her looking for berries as she was leashed. "I need sweet grass and elderberry, they both grow just outside of camp. Please take me." She asked Conrad earnestly.

Conrad had been about to tie her leash to the nearby tree, but she asked if he'd accompany her, and he agreed.

Standing up with her he followed her to the outside of the camp. He was still mostly armoured, but his falling buffe and burgonet had been removed, leaving his head bare save for his hair.

He glanced at Syvis, no normally she wouldn't give him orders, but he knew she'd just enjoy any punishment he dealt out, so he wouldn't complain.

Ellice looked back at the camp and Syvis who was still butchering. She decided she'd try one last attempt to escape and reached up and grabbed Conrad's face pulling him into a passionate kiss. Then she pulled back breathly "I'll do whatever you want just let me go." Ellice told him and started to try and get her shirt off yet it was proving a challenge with her hands cuffed.

Syvis paid them no mind as she started stabbing away at loose dirt. All the meat that could be taken she took to smoke and now she'd bury the body. She started kicking a grave it wouldn't be very deep but better then nothing she supposed. She continued on singing a funeral song from her youth. The song was in elven of course yet the tune was upbeat. She put the doe in the shallow grave before starting to cover the body.

Then she pulled back breathly "I'll do whatever you want just let me go." Ellice told him and started to try and get her shirt off yet it was proving a challenge with her hands cuffed.

Conrad was surprised by the sudden kiss, and looked down with surprise. Then he glowered. "Listen Ellice. I specialise in seducing people, don't think that it will work on me."

He grabbed her hair, not harshly enough to really hurt her but enough to force her to follow his movements. "Now, do you still want those herbs, or are you eating unseasoned meat?"

Ellice let out a quiet yelp "C'mon you are bound to get bored of the blonde soon enough, I'll be waiting." She spat with a slimey grin on her face. She grabbed the sweet grass and berries. "Ready to go boss?" Ellice said with an attempted seductive laugh.

Syvis was completely oblivious as to what was going on as she continued quietly singing. She even got up and turned in the opposite direction to go pick flowers. She found some pretty purple ones but didn't see their thorns and pricked herself pretty decently. She dropped the flowers atop the grave yet her hand was now dripping blood. It was shocking and Syvis ripped off the bottom of her shirt. She still had the vest so it wasn't noticeable and wrapped her hand in the white fabric.

He glared. She made a mistake by saying that. Her seductive laugh wasn't too bad, she showed promise in that respect. But her previous words earned her a spank, and not the teasing kind that he gave Syvis, the kind that left a red handprint on one's backside. "Don't ever..."

The scent of blood filled his nostrils, and he turned to look back at where Syvis had been and he saw her gone. He took off, leash still in his hand and reached the other side of the camp.

"Syvis?" He called out.

He looked about and caught sight of her, and seeing her mostly unharmed he sighed on relief. "You alright? I smelled blood and I was worried."

Syvis saw his concern and felt bad she stood up and started rambling "I'm sorry there was flowers and I didn't see the thorns I wasn't thinking and they cut me." She forgot he'd smell her blood and she never meant to scare him like that. She looked from Conrad to Ellice and Ellice looked a little rough, her hair was mussed and she'd be dragged behind a running Conrad by her neck. Other then that both them looked fine.

She walked up and gave Conrad a reassuring kiss before saying with a smile "Did you get the stuff??" She laced her good hand through Conrad's. It was simple affection yet she liked it. Syvis sensed a weird vibe between both Ellice and Conrad but didn't say anything other than "The meat's getting to cooked you ought to put what you want on it quick.."

He took her hand with his own and pulled her in. "We did indeed." He said giving a warning glance back at Ellice. He had no intention of hiding what happened from Syvis, but he didn't think it the right time.

He brought Ellice back to the fire and tied her leash to a sturdy tree's root. Then he sat down and had Sycis sit on his lap as she usually did.

Syvis sat there happily as she watched Ellice cook and eat. Syvis leaned her face into Conrad's neck. "It's toasty." She told him chipperly as she kissed his neck in her usual manner. Ellice had been unusually quiet and Syvis figured she should check in.

"How're you doing?" Syvis asked her politely

"Fine"... Ellice started out meanly but then caught Conrad's gaze which still wasn't exactly nice and continued in a nicer tone "...the meat was good thank you."

Syvis wore a huge grin now "I'm glad!" She was finally over her little moment and having another person around wasn't horrible.

Before she knew it she was drifting off a little, which was counterproductive for all she owed and had to tell Conrad but she couldn't help the fact that she was warm and her man was comfy.

Once Syvis had gone to the tent he locked Ellice's hands behind her and leashed her tightly to a tree. "Don't get any ideas. I've been kind enough so far, and you've tried to take advantage of my kindness, do so again and there will be consequences."

This was emphasized by a harsh spank, not the tease he used for Syvis, a punishment, a warning. Then he joined his woman.

He explained what had happened when Ellice and he went to get the herbs. He expressed concern with how she might behave if brought into Alliria with them and what might be done about it.

And yes, she tried to escape again, but don't be too hard on her, as you said before, we just killed her entire family, maybe not blood relatives but they were her group, and she definitely feels like a prisoner here. I can't hold her attempt against her, how she did it yes, but not what she was trying to accomplish. Perhaps giving her a wage would help her ease in with us more."

She took an inhale and smiled, "I ordered you around. That is not my place, for that I am sorry." She cocked an eyebrow mischievously, "Is there anything you'd like to do..? To help correct my behaviour of course." Syvis mused.

He grinned evilly, his fingertips slid under her shirt and pulled it up over her head. "I have some ideas. How about we see how skilled you are with that tongue of yours."

He finished the sentence by opening the front of his pants. What he wanted her to do being quite obvious.

The next morning was the same as the previous, he was up and about, and she was tied up.

She opened her left eye to see Conrad in his usual manner. "I.." She stopped herself. She was about to finish that with love you and even she knew it was far too soon, likely just her tired state of mind. "...am tired." Syvis finished trying to save her statement.

She sat up and stared at him. "Care to free me so I might get dressed?" she had a sleepy smile on her face. "We need to feed Ellice and I'm going to address what happened. Would you like to introduce the idea of a wage or shall I?" Despite her strong feelings Syvis knew she would've tried the same thing herself a mere two years ago, Ellice was just a scared kid and Syvis determined that warranted her forgiveness.

He put a finger to his chin in mock thought. Then with a grin said, "no, I think you can ride a horse like that. No one's around to see you save me and Ellice, and I doubt she doesn't know about what we do."

"We need to feed Ellice and I'm going to address what happened. Would you like to introduce the idea of a wage or shall I?" She reached Ellice first, sitting down beside her she started talking. "I know what you did last night." Syvis stared at Ellice in a cold manner. Ellice couldn't meet her eyes. Continuing Syvis said "I understand you don't like it with us, I understand you're afraid, and I comprehend what could lead you to do what you did. Being physical with you doesn't seem to work despite our best efforts so I am talking to you woman to woman. That man is mine..." Syvis stopped halfway as Ellice still wasn't looking at her, Syvis grabbed her chin roughly and forced Ellice to look at her as she spoke, "...next time you try something like that I will make you watch as I disembowel you, it will be slow, torturous, and painful. Do you understand?" Syvis' tone had been calm and lethal the whole interaction, she didn't show a hint of emotion.

Ellice's eyes were huge as she responded to Syvis' threat, "Yes. I understand it won't happen again. I swear on my life."

Syvis let out a cruel smile before wrapping a stand of Ellice's hair around her slender finger. "Good girl. Now sit still." Syvis got up behind Ellice and started to do her unruly flame coloured hair. "I'll make a lady out of you yet." Syvis mumbled as she styled Ellice's hair into a braided updo.

He said stepping out of the tent and towards the two women. "Now don't we have something a little less traumatizing to say to this poor girl?"

He stood in front of the two, whilst Ellice's messy hair was being tamed. "Syvis and I have talked. And we've agreed to offer you wages for cooking, and on top of that, Syvis wants to offer you an education. A proper one. And while you're with us, you won't need to pay for anything, clothes, food and lodging will be provided. What say you?"
