The royal council chamber was unusually silent as the General unrolled a weathered map across the table. Dark red splotches scattered across it, representing outposts that had been attacked across the Borderlands.
"Wyverns," he said, his voice tight with worry. "They’ve always been dangerous, but never like this. They are not acting on their own anymore. Not as easy to chase off."
A murmur spread through the room as the soldier continued. "The Jarlax are no longer mere raiders—they’re mounting organised assault. And with the wyverns at their command, they could overrun the Borderlands, perhaps even push into the outer city."
A Councilor stood, looking over the gathered Ascended and able warriors. "Your task is clear. Venture into the Borderlands, track down these Jarlax, and find a way to break their control over the wyverns.."
His voice darkened. "The Jarlax have drawn their power from ancient ruins—places no one has dared to explore in centuries. That is where your path lies. And make no mistake, the Jarlax will not give up their new power willingly. Be prepared to face them, and the wyverns they command."
OOC: The Borderlands of Thanasis is descending into chaos. Wyverns, fearsome creatures feared for their savage nature, have suddenly begun coordinated attacks on settlements and outposts. However, these creatures, who have always been wild and difficult to control, now seem strangely bound to the will of the ruthless and barbaric race, the Jarlax.
The royal court is in uproar. It’s clear the Jarlax are using the wyverns to weaken the city’s defenses, but no one knows how these brutal creatures have gained such power. The court has sent out a call to the Ascended and skilled warriors of the realm, tasking them with stopping the Jarlax and freeing the wyverns from their control.
