Where am I from? The Shallows are my home but also not my home! Sometimes I see an orc and I feel like shouting "Hey, he's like me!" but you know what the problem is with that, I'll tell you what the problem is with that, I need two of me to be one of him, and also a pair of tusks, and also a big trim of my ears, hah, see that, orcs have got big muscles but I've got big ears, it's too bad I can't throw boulders with my ears though! Lots of humans, lots of dwarves, here in the Shallows, I would know, I lived with some of them! My oldest Gram-mama who's not my Gram-mama said I came from a basket in the Strait! I lived here and there and everywhere mostly because I was a bad girl and kept running away or getting kicked out, but everybody makes mistakes, and that's fine, because mistakes would be sad if nobody made them and I don't want mistakes to be sad, what about you?

What changed? Nothing changed! It's just that my oldest Gram-mama never gave up on me! I'd be a mean little girl and that would make her sad but she always tried to help, and you know what, she did help! Everybody kept saying "Oh look, there goes that goblin, keep your coin purse close" and I didn't like the things they said or the looks they gave but my Gram-mama is so kind and so wise and so warm and she said to me, "Giibi (that's my name, Giibi, look, I can even write it out for you!) you can't make anybody nice but yourself." And that really touched me. It did! I was bad because it was fun to be bad and I guess that's what a lot of people say about goblins and maybe that's what a lot of goblins do but I'm not from where those other goblins are from, I'm from the Shallows even though I'm not from the Shallows and I have my Gram-mama and I'm happy and I want to make other people happy. See, I told you nothing changed!

What are you doing now? Well I can't just smile and make food appear, I gotta go out there and do something. And you know what? Working is fun! Don't look at me like that, I'm being honest! It keeps me occupied and it helps people and it makes the little buggers go away (that's what my Gram-mama calls them, those impulses to be bad, little buggers)! Sometimes I get heckled. Sometimes I get turned away. Sometimes I get blamed! Goblin, can't ever be anything but a goblin, don't trust her. But I keep my chin up! It hurts but I keep my chin up and I smile and I think "I was nice and that's all the matters!" and I'll find someone else who's nice and we'll have a good day and everything will be fine and dandy and fine and dandy.

Do you have any big plans? I sure do, just you wait and see! Giggle all you want, I can giggle louder. Ready? Hee, hee, hee hee, ha ha! I know why you're laughing, and you're right! I'm not going to be slaying any dragons! No, no, no, not me! But somebody is! They call them knights in shining armor! And armor's lazy, it doesn't shine itself. Somebody needs to shine that armor, and that somebody is me! I'm no hero, but every hero could use a Giibi, couldn't they? That's right! Dream big! Hey, did you need your boots shined by any chance? Well, wiggle my fingers, what luck! Now where did I put my brush?
