Smuk is a good-hearted man hailing from deep within Falwood. Though he is an elf, many are surprised by his openness and love for low-brow comedy. He can be often found joining in on the local festival, getting drunk at the local inn, or selling his magical gadgets in the markets. Due to his wandering nature, he is never in the same area for too long and spends a lot of his time travelling on the open roads between settlements.

Looks-wise, he is taller than the average male human though shorter than the average male elf. His defining feature is his long brownish-blonde hair, which is normally tied up in a makeshift bun. His skin is tanned and covered in freckles from long days spent out under the sun. He carries his livelihood on his back and on his horse, with overfilled bags of strange vials, tools and other colourful scraps and contraptions. Many would say he was strangely too handsome for the type of person he was, having a strong jawline and clear blue eyes. Most figured this was due to his elven heritage, but many humans forget about that since they find him so cheery and down-to-earth.

Being an alchemic merchant, Smuk is always looking to sell his gizmos and gadgets. He hand-crafts useful items from bits and pieces he found or bought on his travels. His minor magical abilities allow him to imbue his devices with some magical power, whether it be the power to make it last longer or for it to move at the press of a button. Only rarely does he trade his items for money, usually being more interested to trade for food, a place to stay or a certain item of interest.

If someone has a specific request for an item, Smuk is willing to craft it for a price. Usually, specific items require a specific component that the customer may need to provide before Smuk can begin crafting it.

Born and bred in the heart of Falwood, Smuk didn't realise he was missing something until he encountered a travelling troupe of human entertainers. He was bewildered by their directness and brash turn of phrase, and soon became enraptured by human society. He found it so different from the more conservative and peaceful elven society, and began to occasionally wander outside the forest. He visited the countless farming villages and took part in their customs of manual labour and heavy drinking. Working with his hands in the dirt, handling animals and building things from raw materials, Smuk learnt more about crafting than just the design and fine-tuning the elven craftsmen had taught him. After he was of age, he left his home to travel the continent and hasn't returned since. He feels himself the most when he's on the road and chatting to the everyday folk.
