Appearance

Narn is a somewhat diminutive and unassuming...if you can ignore the strange garb which it covers itself with. The armor appears to hail from the desert nations of Amol-Kalit, while the clothes worn underneath are a mix between the regal robes of a mage and the garish tones of a jester’s garb. But perhaps most curious aspect of it to the average observer is its collection of emotion based masques; of which it always is wearing one.

Skills and Abilities

Empathy - Narn is seemingly a creature designed to seek emotion. It is capable of absorbing from everyone around him, but when in large numbers, it can be painful; so, it has learned to filter these empathic “bonds” as a defense mechanism. As of yet, there has been no true use of this ability other than as the easiest way for it to be interacted with.

Light Sensitivity - Narn is hurt by direct sunlight, either as a racial trait or simply a result of the magics that it has been infused with. It does not affect its ability to see.

Blindsense - For one reason or another, Narn has the ability to sense its immediate surroundings, allowing it to act with ease in complete darkness or blinding light.

Bladework - Narn is exceptionally skilled in the use of the blade, and seems to have a knack for finding the vital bits of his opponents. This skill is borne almost completely from its creator’s original intent for it.

Personality

Narn is a singular creature of emotion. It does not necessarily require emotions to survive; however, it does seem to like the presence of it. Narn does not care for Pride, and does not like those that exude it, instead preferring the company of those that provide Calm, Curiosity, and Compassion. It also holds a general distrust of those directly associated with the College of Elbion, due to their part in the end of its first friends after waking.

It has learned to either imitate wit, or has developed its own twisted version of humor. It has slowly developed itself the ability to show emotion of its own kind, but the process has been slow at best. Narn has realized it is at times of trauma that it seems to acquire these “true emotions” most quickly.

Biography & Lore

“A creature of a singular cunning and skill. It is perfect!” -Marok Voll, Last Words

Incidentally, also the first words that Narn can remember. It was really the emotion that drove Narn to act. Pride, then Satisfaction, Fear, and finally, Peace. It liked Peace best. Calm. Narn did not feel Hunger with Calm. Hunger. Agony. The same. Long ago, Peace, Rest, Sleep. Long Sleep…

Curiosity, this was...new, to Narn. Pride-Master Marok could not feel it. Narn had been void of it. But a new mind, calling herself Falla and friend, found it. Woke it. Sleep was long past, Curiosity felt...felt right. Narn followed Friend Falla out of the Calm and into the warmth. Warmth burned it, but not hurt like Hunger. Friend Falla helped cover Narn, and it tasted Pity, Compassion. They were just as right as Curiosity and Calm. Together, Friend Falla and Narn crossed the great heat and came to the place Friend Falla called Elbion.

At first, it did not care for this place. So many were feeding it at once, it felt greatly Sick. But, with help from Friend Falla, and her friend Cols, it was able to pick and choose what it would eat, blocking all that it did not care for. Cols was instrumental in this process, as he studied the magic arts, like the dark ones that Master Marok used on it before his end. But unlike Master Marok, Cols showed less Pride, and more Curiosity. It was during this time it first tasted Love, from Cols and Friend Falla alike. During this time it seemed to be growing between them. It found these interactions to be strong bonding moments for the two.

But, something horrible happened, and it felt Sorrow, so strong it could not resist the urge to feed off of Pain. Other mages had come to take it away. Cols and Friend Falla would not let them take it...it did not deserve what they did. A great battle of arcane power and dagger ended many of the mages, but not without ending Friend Falla and...Friend Cols. Q’Urith Narn, Last Blade of Marok Voll, took up blades and robes of its Friends, and proved Master right. The mages that survived that night’s battle did not survive the week. It felt, for the first time of its own accord, Sorrow, Rage, and Pride that night.
