There are many rumors about how Chadwick Strongpants came to be: Some say he fell to Arethil from an outerspace crystal into a vat of magical sludge. Others say he was stung by enchanted scorpians, and also bitten by a dragon person, making him a weredragon and was trained by Savanna monks.

The truth is Chadwick was born to a Canorssian raiding village, and grew up there loving the books that would be brought back, and the people attached to them. When he was of age he swore himself to the god of knowledge. His god granted him the boon of Enchantment so he was able to place enchantments upon weapons, and armours. Eventually Chad learned that there was a bountiful plunder of knowledge within Elbion's college's library. Knowing he never would be able to steal the books for his own, he decided to instead join them so he might receive their knowledge. His heroic actions of saving an orphanage, and puppy shelter from bandits granted him acceptance to the College.

He worked his way into the college and became a librarian there. His skill in enchanting objects as well as rare skill with weapons and combat, has proven a valuable asset for the College and it's residence.
