Willis felt Eryn grab his arm and clinging to it as he continued to hear the clanking of metal going against the stone floor. These men unlike the Orc and human that Willis an Eyrn encountered were cladded with armor. The young man gripped his knife and gave Eryn a kiss on her forehead "It's okay," he whispered. "Don't be afraid. This will be all over soon and we will home fucking our brains out."

Home, Willis caught himself saying that. Little Portshaw was a quiet place but he didn't consider it his home, perhaps it was a symbol where he met Eryn Willis wasn't sure but when he said home it made him think of Eryn. Willis smirked at Eryn "I'll be back," he said. "I'm just going to see what they want. Just stay here and think of all the good times we've had."

She did as he suggested, she thought of them fucking each other till they both passed out, their bodies tangled together in passion till the only way anyone could tell them apart was by the contrast of their skin.
She wanted that so badly, though right now she was far too sore to enjoy any sexual pleasure.

Then he said he was going out to talk to them.
She clung to his arm even tighter, shaking her head vehemently, her voice was already a broken whisper so she spoke, "N-no!... they'll kill you... Stay here... don't leave me!"

Willis sighed looking into Eyrn's watery eyes, she spent at least a day naked and alone in an unknown Dwarven city. She was being forced to have sex by a Dwarven machine, what was the young man thinking even going out to confront them? "Okay," Willis said kissing her forehead. "I will stay here Eryn," he said looking out the window. There were two men wearing full plated rusted metal armor, Willis could see the symbol of the mercenary company embedded on their chest piece: A picture of a smiling Bear standing up looking like he's about to dance.

"The Dancing Bears," Willis whispered to Eryn. "That's the mercenary company these men are working for, strange that they weren't there when were surrounded."

"Where did we come from again?" One of the mercs asked. "From the Grotto," the man answered. "There was incomplete Dwarven ship from the south."

"We aren't paid enough for this shit," the other man complained. "Lezus bitched that we came here too late and we're punished because of it. What is he looking for again?"

"A Portal Stone or some shit."

Willis frowned and stared at Eryn. "We know to go at least," he whispered. "A grotto somewhere in the city but a portal stone? That's strange?"

That gave her a glimmer of hope. A way out!? They could finally get out of here and back to Little Portshaw!? She nodded to him, urging him to check and see if the coast was clear so they could find whatever portal it was and get out of there.

She tugged on his sleeve after a moment of thought.
"G-give me a knife..."
She swallowed hard, and that hurt, but she didn't want to be used against him again. She would hide the knife and pull it out when someone would least expect it. That's the idea she got in her head.

No one knows where portal stones originated from. Some say that they were create by an unknown subspecies of Elves who left Arethril. Others insist that the Portal Stones were magic at its purest form, even in the Age of wonders the Dwarves with all of their technology couldn't figure out the properties of the portal stone. Before their empire fell, the Dwarves spent their last days performing experiments onto any portal stones they found. They wanted to see if they could harness the energy teleport their airships to a different place in Arethril and continue their conquest.

Willis couldn't care less what happened right now though, he needed to get Eryn out of here. The redheaded beauty tugged Willis' sleeve asking for a knife. The young man frowned staring at the knife in his hand. It was the only weapon he got since his Cutlass is at the surface. Looking around the house they hid in, Willis found what appeared to be a metal pipe and handed it to Eryn. "This will have to do for now," Willis said kissing Eryn on the forehead. "Now stay low and follow me."

She took the pipe skeptically, remembering how effective the stick was, but at least this was metal. She thought they had plenty of knives by now since they had fought the bandits and they had knives, they should have thought to take them.

She followed him closely, holding the rod in her hands as they snuck out of the house. The mercenaries had passed by and so they were clear for now.
"Maybe we should find some weapons first... Just incase we get caught again."

Willis nodded "agreed," he said. He wasn't going to do much against armored men though he did remember the time he killed a Flail Snail with nothing more than stick and two rocks. The house they were in was a typical home one could find anywhere else. The young man spotted a stone lever near the entrance of the house and pulled it out of curiosity.

It was then the whole room began to illuminate with a bright light. The sounds of a light humming could be heard as lamps everywhere activated. Willis raised an eyebrow watching the entire room, it was much easier to see now. It appeared to be that he and Eyrn are in the living room of the Dwarven house. Dwarven runes were etched on to the walls and pottery and plates scattered everywhere. A few rats scurried around Eryn's feet retreating to their tiny holes.

"Wow," Willis mumbled. "They said that the Dwarves invented light that can never be extinguished. To create such a machinery that still lasts to this day. Is incredible."
