Whatever reason that had brought the being forward would not matter to the mists that held the place in its hold. Thick and winding, they would swirl and dampen any who passed through them. A dissuading attempt before the land itself would begin to act.
However.
Those same mists that held the Bystra Basin would part wide enough to permit a single person to venture forward.
Any others attempting to follow would be quickly thrown into disarray by the departure from the trail they had been cutting. The land itself shifting to force them to pass by the heart of the mists. Slowly drenching them the harder they tried to push through the mist rather than follow the course it provides. The earth shifting beneath their feet to create hills to guide their steps. Vines seeming to emerge to further dissuade them from treading forward unless on the path provided.
An unending misdirection until finding themselves further down the rivers bank than intended.
For that singular being however, the sunlight that begins trickling over the horizon paints the surrounding landscape in dark purple tones, and the beginning threads of deep pinks. The greenery of the hillsides still slumbering beneath the blanket of pre-dawn darkness as stone walls up to their waist guide them along worn dirt paths down into the basin in a path that doubles back and down further.
Leading them into the deepest part of the basin and to the waters edge to find a stone path in the easy flowing river.
All worn half smooth, a hands-width from the waters surface leading toward the small island between the two shallow cliffs of the basin. Larger than a persons foot and separated enough to require they make a small leap to arrive at the next. A lantern on the distant shore would begin to burn, beckoning them to traverse the stone path forward. The river below waiting to embrace them in it's cold depths if they should fall from the path.
The water still dark enough still to hide any hint of it's true depth as the lantern shifts before settling in place once more.
Halfway across the partial stone bridge, a form would begin to emerge from within the partial dark. The lantern seeming to gain height as the space behind it shimmered in an iridescent display of purple, green, and blue that shifted from one to the next color as the lantern adjusted itself once more.
Lower now, or perhaps at the beings height.
