He wandered about in their kingdom by night.
He was staying in the primary castle's lower levels keeping largely to himself. He still had his gift for the lovely Queen in his possession and he intended to make sure she got it. His vassals and he himself, had worked extremely hard on the relic. That night thoughts of his home kingdom passed through his mind and he deeply missed it and his companions and allies. They were bound by the Vampiric laws of Skotadi. He was in his personal chambers, he'd requested to stay in the lower levels of the castle where the sun would not bother him. His eyes were hidden behind a ceremonial red blindfolds, he could not see.
That was a price of his Vampirism.
Instead of seeing with his physical eyes he could see people's heat signature and auras. He'd seen many of the noble folks of the kingdom at the party and gotten to know many. He admired their way life...no that was not sufficient enough. He envied their normal way of life not a care in the universe...all the gold in the world... He sighed he was likely letting himself get too melodramatic again.
He mainly thought of his two wives, Lady Anya and Lady Velera. His culture, The Blue Orcs, allowed for multiple mates and marriages. The strong often got what they wanted in life and Vampire Lord Nosdyn was no different. He'd won the status of Vampire Lord after defeating and killing his enemy Vampire Lord Grendric. He was writing at that point, personal letters, thoughts, various matters that remained undone.
As he sat on his borrowed bed, he looked down for a long moment and drank a phial of warm blood...he was running low.
Soon he would have to hunt and feed.
He waited to see what that night's adventures would come...with the wind.
