Private Tales The Stars, the Stars, the Stars

A private roleplay only for those invited by the first writer
The act was once again put before the crowd by two actors very close to their roles. He wouldn't have known how to pretend to look at someone as if he wanted them. She was beautiful and suddenly he could feel the way she moved with him.

"I'm going to have you tonight?" he whispered.

There was a subtle shift in the grip at her hip. Talorgan had been thinking about the party. Suddenly he was thinking less about what he would see and experience and more about how he would see Faye.

He didn't know how the night would pan out. He didn't know the twists and turns and steps. He wouldn't know how to lead. But suddenly it was important that no matter how it went he would share some intimate moments with Faye.

Faye stared at him, really saw past the front of his eyes and saw a small part of what he meant. She had not heard him wrong, nor did he ask in a suggestive way.

The way he asked her stirred something in her.

"If you do not wish to be left alone tonight... I will be there with you." And that she would do, as promised. Faye could not play into anything else. It was a defense mechanism, to protect herself first and foremost.

Because she knew Talorgan was someone she could live with. They were both survivors out in the wilds, and conversation never stilted in the time in between.

"Tonight... when you have had enough and want to leave, we can leave."

Her eyes never left his. Not when he commanded her attention with his soft question that still played over and over in her thoughts.

She was open an honest with him, even as he felt her sidestep the question. They hadn't even known each other that long, he reminded himself.

After the way many noble families had tried to take ownership of her trade and skills, she had been brave - and a little drunk - to show him the cellar.

"Strange that I might get overwhelmed more easily here..."

They stepped apart, the dance calling for them to clasp hand stretch out their arms and spin.

"...than later. But thank you."

The music came to an end. He held Faye's gaze as they both dipped into a formal bow.

He took her hand and let her from the floor.

"I think," he muttered as he finally glanced around the room, "that our act might be done."
