Private Tales The Blind Leading the Blind

A private roleplay only for those invited by the first writer
"Well done Mistress." Elise said after the punch connected. "Again."

.........................................................................................................

The edge of the Tundra seemed to stretch before them.
A limitless wilderness known for snow, wolves, and death.
Elise wasn't focused on that however as a solid punch landed on her ribs.
The force threw her back as she grabbed Syn's arm and twisted it behind her back and slamming her into a nearby tree before being thrown back into a tree of her own hard enough to bring the tree crashing down. She lay face down as she slid off the wood.

Over the coarse of their journey Syn devoted herself to her training, she spent every waking hour honing her senses sharper and sharper till they became monofilament sharp, she would spend her nights keeping "watch" practicing her skills in combat.
With her honed skills and senses one would not guess she was blind unless they saw she had no eyes and her visor wasn't just for show.
Her confidence had grown significantly as well, with her new skills she no longer needed to use her cane or required aid navigating the trip hazard that was the forest floor and would walk boldly with very little error.

Syn could not see the tundra landscape before them, but she could sense the openness of space and the grassy humped turf which could potentially make footing hazardous in bad situations.
Their training sessions had quickly become more fast paced and dangerous over time, but Syn quickly began to prove herself in holding her own against the more experienced Dreadweaver.

When she punched Elise in the ribs she could predict what her next move would be, she knew there was little she could do to prevent it since she put a lot of power into the punch and as a result was in a very committed stance that would be difficult to pull back from, so instead she chose not to fight it at all and instead prepared herself for the tree.
She planted her foot on the tree to stop the impact and ran up the trunk using the force Elise applied as momentum to bring herself up, escaping from the hold in the process, and then to land behind Elise where she took her by the shoulders and kicked out her left knee before throwing her into another tree, bringing it down.

She panted from the effort but she was smiling. "If you're holding back you may regret it, Elise."

"Me? Hold back?"
She said with a chuckle as her gauntlets shot two ropes of dark energy that wrapped around Syn's legs with a snap as she was yank to the ground and pulled towards her teacher with incredible speed.
She soon found her self on her back with an arm on her throat as one of the sharpened gauntlet fingers traced a little heart on her left cheek lightly enough to tickle and not break the skin before she lightly booped her students nose with a giggle.
"Never."
She said continuing her laugh as she grabbed her student and launched them both lightly into the air a couple of feet twisting her body and sinking in a rear choke hold as they landed with a soft thump.
Her back to the ground and her legs easily wrapping around her smaller student stomach
"Yield yet Mistress?"
She asked punctuating the question with a tight squeeze tightening her arm around Syn's throat and Tightening around her stomach as well with mounting force until she started to hear small pops from her various joints in her lower back and neck. "Well?" She asked again playfully.

Syn was taken off guard, she detected the strange attack but didn't know the nature of it and the sounds were deceptive to her.
She found her feet pulled from under her and she landed in the soft hummocky turf and Elise had landed on her in a pin to the ground. She smiled and giggled in anticipation for a moment as she felt the dangerous claw trace a heart shape on her cheek, the danger of that move putting her mind in a mood for receiving pain which weakened her reflexes for a moment longer, she hardly had any time to recover her wits and fight back through this, but by the time she recovered she was being held in a choke hold on the ground.

Of course the pain wasn't a problem for her, in fact if it wasn't for her breathing being restricted she would have moaned in pleasure, what was dangerous for her is the pain made her body relax, and with the strain on her spine combined with that reflex put her at risk of relaxing to a point of allowing her spine to dislocate.
It was a titanic effort on her part to force herself to see past the pleasure she felt and see the danger that her position put her in.

Through her passion fogged mind she gasped out thickly through the choke hold, "Y-yes... I yield."

"If you say so Mistress.."
She whispered in her ear softly giving the hold a little tighter squeeze and with a slight twist an immense pain shot up her back before being replaced by a comfortable looseness.
"You had that kink in your back i thought i could help."
She said her tongue almost licking Syn's ear as she spoke.
"Granted I didn't have to choke you while I did it but.." She chuckled as she nipped her ear affectionately "... I know you like it.." She continued her snickering as she loosened the hold and helped her pupil up Letting her steady herself until she caught her breath.

"All the same. Welcome to the tundra..The one place where even if your blind you wont miss out on much...Not much to see is what Im saying.....basically..."
She said with dislike growing in her voice as she spoke.
"Well...lets carry on. Hope that old ghost is still haunting the shrine..ah!" She said with a grin as they moved deeper into the woods to be greeted by bodies littering the tree tops.
The frozen ice keeping them in a slowed decomposition. some looked years old. some looked fresher. A sign hung from the neck of the oldest victim. A skeleton pinned to a tree via arrows pinning her body to the trunk. The sign was simple and written incredibly neatly.
"Trespassers and Thieves, Will find rest in the trees." It read simply. A small sign nailed into the ground below it read. "Shelter and food provided to the peaceful."
"We're close." Elise said turning to her student. They had grown close over their journey but there was a long way to go yet.

She shivered and got tingles with having Elise so close to her ear.
When Elise adjusted her back she cried out and chills ran through her whole body as her back became looser and more relaxed.
She had gotten used to sleeping on the ground, but her back had suffered for it.

She stood up with Elise, her back and posture feeling much better. "You will have to teach me that trick, that was definitely a surprise move." She said in reference to the use of the tendrils she used.
She turned her face in the direction of the tundra and followed Elise, after a while she could smell the stench of frozen decay in the trees above and the cold was considerable.

"We're close? how much further? it feels like the weather is getting worse."

"It is. Nights here are not something you want to experience in the open. Come the cabins further up ahead.."
She said with a grimace at the bitter wind biting at her nose as she helped guide her mistress through the frozen woods as they approached a cabin.
Smoke rose from its chimney and light could be seen flickering in the windows.
"Well it seems the ghost does still haunt the tundra.."
Elise chuckled as they began to approach the shrine began to call to Syn. As the voices whispered to her the rock of the shrine began to grind as it moved. A small opening was revealed holding something.
She needed that something that mush was clear.

Syn walked through the frozen terrain with minimal difficulty, besides being ill prepared for the cold, she was able to more easily track Elise by the sound of her feet crunching in the frost and snow.
When the shrine and cabin came into view she turned her attention to the sounds of the shrine and the voice of Bastellen guiding her there.
She didn't heed Elise's words as she walked to the shrine as if mesmerized, the air quickly growing colder and her movements began to grow stiffer as she was forced to shiver in the cold.
She stepped to the shrine and immediately placed her hands on whatever it was she was being called to.

A visor met her touch. The metal was cool to the touch and gave off an energy of foreboding much like Elise's gauntlets.
"Hey, where are you going. warm is inside." Elise began with a chuckle.
"..oh.."
She said slowly stopping as dark energy seemed to be slowly forming around the shrine as she touch he visor and steadily began to grow and swirl around Syn.
