The days leading up to Zephyrine's birthday party had been busy for Victoria. She and Silas had been tasked on a mission, and unfortunately for Thraah, the party would have to be missed. She had busied herself preparing, and pestering Silas constantly as she excitably told him how much she was wanting to destroy their quarry. At this point, she had been losing time. She never mentioned it to Silas, but sometimes she couldn't remember what happened for days at a time. She would go to sleep one day, and wake up two days later, sometimes not even in bed. Sometimes she was in the middle of class, or once she had even woken up in the middle of a sparring lesson.

Finally the day had come, and she practically jumped on Silas with excitement as they headed out. They were destined for Falwood, their mission was to take on some abhorrent creatures that were messing up a completely different mission. The trek had been long, and her energy seemingly never to falter as she chatted aimlessly at her companion. It wasn't until they actually made camp, and set out to start the mission in earnest that they had run into trouble.

They had found their way to a deep, dank, and probably dangerous cavern. Still, the whole point had been to eradicate the supposed beasts out here, they couldn't let some cave spook them. With a smile, she grabbed Silas's hand and pulled him in behind her, her trusty club grasped tightly in her other hand.

"I brought my boomies with Salad, we can make them explode if we wanna!"

Upon crossing the threshold, they would feel a shroud lift. A magic that had initially been hidden from them. It was a trap, and they now had no way to leave. They were stuck. The question was why, and who. There had to be more going on here than just felling beasts, but Vicky couldn't comprehend that part, instead, she threw herself of the barrier with single-minded fury.

Several days later, Livia would be contacted to find the pair and figure out what happened. At this point, the two would have wandered a bit further in to try and find a solution. Their food would start to dwindle as they sat in their temporary camp trying to decide what to do next.

The Falwood was no place for one to travel alone, but it was a different Livia Quinnick that followed her own path into these woods than she had when first attending the Academy. No longer did she cower at the allure and unpredictable power she now had better understanding of, making her journey to track two Initiates one without pause.

Silver hair was woven into a braid that fell down her back, down the leather armour she donned to enable her to move freely. Her head turned when she needed to look around, but her magical compass gave no indication she was being followed or about to come upon anything.

Her journey was clear, but that did not riddle her with thoughts of something sinister to come.

Being stuck was bad. Being stuck in a cave? So much worse. Silas Aresto had an innate desire, a hardwired need for motion. The medics suspected it had a lot to do with his constant use of his vibration magic for increased speed, that his mind had trouble readjusting to a slower pace when it had become so used to a rapid one.

Hell, Silas didn't know. He was no doctor, but thinking about these inane unknowns was all that kept him from going stark-mad as he hunched over the meager little fire they'd managed to create, his tapping foot humming with vibration, having hit the rock beneath so many times that a small indent had formed.

"You done for now?" He called over to Vicky, who'd been busying herself with wailing on the barrier trapping them here like it owed her money. Silas knew better than to get between Von Fleet an object of her rage, but he was getting worried about her. She was just going to tire herself out. "Take a break, Vic... I don't want you hurting yourself."

Artesto had lost track of the days; You simply couldn't tell how time was passing in a place this dank and dark. What had initially been a nuisance had turned into something much more: An unknowing of what to expect. Were they do die here? Starve and waste away? Or was somebody coming? Somebody with plans for them?

Either way, rations were running low, and tensions were running high.

"They'll have noticed by now. Surely they'll send reinforcements..."

Victoria was a ball of wrath, hurling herself, her weapon, anything at all at the invisible barrier. The sounds she made were practically inhuman as she threw herself bodily in trying to get out. Finally, between bursts of her attempts, Silas cut in. She stopped mid swing of her club, looking back at him with a pout on her lips. She sullenly left the barrier behind to join him, dropping to the ground with a huff.

He was the only one to ever get her to listen, and this was no exception. She felt closer to him lately though, and she didn't understand it. It was very confusing, and she didn't like being confused. As she looked up at him, her gaze softened from anger and upset to one of confusion. She hugged herself tightly, looking around with eyes widened in fear. She didn't remember this, didn't know where she was or what had happened. it was if she had woken from a dream, and she was terrified.

"Where are we Silas?"

Magic led Livia to the mountainside.

She dismounted from her horse and led her steed to a nearby stream, tying the reins securely before unloading the saddlebags of the weapons and gear she needed. Resources, medic kit, food, and water. It was a heavier pack she had to carry, but she also did not anticipate coming across any trouble. That was what her dark magic enchanted bow was for. As long as magic coursed in her veins, she should produce arrows made from magic. It had been her prize after surviving the sealed chamber in the ruins in Tel Arran, the very thing that helped her and Ivan get out alive.

Now, her eyes looked to the mountainside, frowning. She could not feel Silas or Von Fleet in the vicinity of the mountain, but her magic led her around the rocks. There was a certain spot she needed to be in, and Liv figured it would be the starting point to finding the missing Initiates. She ignored the nerves wishing to creep in at the thought of seeing Silas, who had missed Zephyrine's party that Thraah invited her to. That had been four nights ago, no, five now since she made camp getting here.

There had not been much time for her to talk to him, but now there would be opportunity on the way back to the Academy. Of course, if Von Fleet did not interrupt them.
