Jonathan Burr was stationary for the first time in months, but it was a good place to be. He had set up the most garish wagon anyone had seen in years; turquoise, reds and yellows screamed out his wares to the street, catching the eyes of old and young alike. He had aimed toward the more noble area of Alliria, as he needed some coin to overwinter somewhere.
Jonathan’s speciality was large parties. Big snowy displays where his fire flowers could scream into the sky and crackle above several dozen heads. Sure, selling bits and tiny little flares of color were popular with the middle class, but he needed a big score if he was going to feed himself through the winter and get more supplies.
Quite simply, he needed a big rich fish. Or someone who knew one. For now he gained a bit of coin by word of mouth, sending loud showers of red and yellow sparks into the skies above Alliria’s markets. It was the best advertising anyone could ask for really, especially when he set off a few where bright white rabbits raced across the sky.
Surely someone would be intrigued by the sight?
