I'm VigiloConfido, and I wanted to make this advert just to clearly showcase avenues for RP in Gild, for those interested in a more low fantasy and anti-magic style of story. The official post I made in the Roleplay Planning section of forum is the place where tons more in-depth information can be found.
As for the opportunities, here are some of them:
-- Praetors and Regulators, both of which would see a lot of combat and action-oriented threads, especially with Praetors being the premier group in the Gild setting. Many of the characters I myself have for Gild are themselves Praetors, so a very easy fit into the setting.
-- Quaestors. Basically, Praetors in training at Gild's War College, characters being aged 17-21 generally. Military school style environment here. Currently there are two Quaestor characters made (I myself planning to add another), and they could use more company
.-- Gildan Devils. Think of them as a small and secretive "black ops" group, willing to do whatever it takes to achieve Gild's interests. And where Gild is otherwise anti-magic, the Devils are not (and they even have a vampire on their side).
-- Here's a weird one. My character Leah Kadashal has in her backstory a Regulator who saved her from death. Leah is madly in love with this Regulator, and obsesses over him in yandere-like fashion. If you would like to create and play this Regulator who saved Leah, and have her obsess over said character, let me know and we can hash out the details.
-- Clan Maisal. As Gild's sole matrilineal line, and as foremost of the Beyar Clans (think minor nobles/middle class), I'd like to see a few more characters with the Maisal name. I have one myself in the form of Marta Maisal.
-- Noble Houses. I have it written that there are Five Noble Houses in Gild, and I have only defined one: House Gildal. If you would like to help establish lore for one of the four remaining Noble Houses, do get in contact with me--I'd be delighted.
