First thing's first: this character has an almost empty biography. It's a very thin concept right now. Rich merchant boy gets lost at sea at a young age. Now part of a ship of mercenaries (think the argonauts). I'll flesh it out as I go.
I feel like something a bit less deep than some of my current threads. Some swashbuckling, romance and adventure.
Maybe a village on the sea is in peril as monsters from the deep raid at night. Maybe a pirate ship needs hunting on the high seas. Perhaps they take the ship up a deep river looking for an elven city and get ambushed by geckan with poison darts from wooden rafts.
