After leaving her home in Fal'Addas, I'm guessing Melusine was educated in Elbion, though she can really go anywhere as she's a traveler. Other than the fact that she has a heal spell and some sword skills, she's wide open.

Liath here is just outside the Forest, roaming in the area, Has a home on the coast line. And is an infrequent, if known visitor in the city. Entirely possible for them to cross paths. Given he's a traveling spellsword these days, it could be a fight, an introduction to training, or any number of things.
