Fable - Ask Laws of the Pack

"You done yet?"

Anne expertly got to her feet when it became evident that Seph wasn't going to attack her. "You haven't forced my surrender yet have you?"

She came at her again, this time trying to tackle her waist.

(Think jujitsu, it's not over if they're on the ground, it ends when one taps out. You need to use various locks and submission holds to force her to tap out. It's more interesting that way, at least to me.)

(I know... Seph however, does not. hahahah)

Seph was sort of ready, sort of.

Anne came at her, squarely hitting her in the midsection. Seph grabbed her sides with both hands, letting her claws sink into the female's "love handles" as she rolled backwards, bringing her feet up towards the females thighs as Seph rolled, using Anne's momentum against her to kick her over her as she rolled, flinging her off behind her with the kick.

Seph twisted on the ground once Anne had gone flying, digging her feet into the ground and kicking off towards Anne as Anne hit the ground. Seph jumped at her, attempting to pin her arms with her knees as she straddled her chest, attempting get her hands to the females throat.

Her riposte was quite excellently maneuvered, and well executed. The yelp from Ann as claws sank into her hips was high pitched and surprised. But she had committed by then, and she followed through, only to be flipped by Seph's legwork. Seph could have potentially put herself on top of the other woman if she followed the roll through further but the flip was equally valid.

Anne tried getting up again, to come after Seph whilst they were both recovering.

Seph jumped at her this time, likely something that wouldn't be expected as she had taken a mostly defensive stance thus far. She mock charged her, aiming directly for her before side stepping to the right and attempting to grab the female's wounded hips. Seph's blood was still flowing freely, heavily and getting everywhere. If pushed came to shove she could use her blood magic against this female, her blood likely got mixed with this females at some point already. But Seph did not want to use her blood magic if she could avoid it.

As she reached for the females hips she also ducked, to avoid the females grip if she attempted to grab her. Seph snapped jaws in the air, having no problem sinking her teeth into the female's arm again should she try it. Seph knew she could heal her if needed so she wasn't worried about the minor wounds she was leaving on her. If she was able to grab the female and yank her around she'd stick her foot out in front of the female and trip her, at which point she could get her to the ground again and hopefully pin her.

Seph's quick grouping of actions proved effective. She was grabbed, and pain shot through her, delaying her response long enough for her to be thrown to the ground without having proper opportunity to resist Seph's quick work. She landed facefirst in the grass, this time not getting the wind knocked from her, even so, she wasn't fast enough to stop Seph from planting her knee in her back, if she were to try she'd be able to force one of her arms behind her and put her in a submission hold.

Seph quickly pinned the female, grabbing both her wrists and pinning them with her legs at her sides. She moved her hands to the females neck, pressing her face harder against the grass as she leaned down, growling.

"Do you submit....?"

She had seen humans fighting in this manner, though usually there were swords involved. She let her claws touch the females flesh through her fur, threateningly. She was unfamiliar with this packs' way of fighting, of submitting so she did the only thing she knew to do.

Anne thrashed violently, trying to wiggle free for a few moments more, but ultimately it was an exercise in futility. She had lost, and she came to realize that. She sighed and closed her eyes, and swallowed the lump in her throat that accompanied her defeat. "I yield."

The claws were certainly a motivator, but ultimately they were unnecessary. Anne knew she had been beaten, that meant that Seph was senior to her in combat and in turn, her senior in society. If she were to be let up she would stay down a moment to ensure that Seph understood that she intended no further fighting. She'd keep her head submissively bowed in her presence from then on.

Seph stood up the second the other wolf yielded, offering her hand to help her to her feet. She felt no need to rub it in any further, hoping this female remembered that Seph had tried to avoid the conflict. Seph did not know if this now meant the other females too would back off, or if this was a fight she'd have to have with each of them, she hoped the knowledge of this fight would spread and the others would leave her and Baraek alone.

"Do you want me to heal you?" She offered softly as she watched Anne quietly. Her own wound was still bleeding, unnaturally so but it would heal, she wasn't worried. The release of blood actually felt good, woke her up a little.

"Heal me? How?" She inquired.

Seph might have a couple more fights like this, as females varied in skill as the males did, but they were also less inclined to fight overall, so if word of her victory got out the line of challengers would certainly diminish substantially.

"I trained in a little magic... when I lived with the humans. My blood can heal somewhat."

She smiled softly as she stepped a little closer. She waited for the female to answer before she would try it.

"I, would just rub some of my blood on your wound. It will still hurt, it will feel hot, but it will cause your blood to work somewhat faster, scab faster and the likes. It isn't n instant heal, but faster at least."

"Blood magic?" She asked curiously. She wasn't sure but followed instructions. Putting some of Seph's fallen blood on her injuries. She did feel the uncomfortable increase in temperature and the quicker healing start it's work.

She watched quietly, sapphire eyes focusing on the wound, concentrating on her connection to her blood as her blood seeped into Anne's wounds. She felt herself heat up slightly as her blood duplicated rapidly within the other wolf. She lifted her eyes to Anne after a few moments, pondering the question.

"If I can get my blood into another being, I can heat them, extended periods of the heat can be deadly... like... a temperature. Almost like boiling from the inside out I guess. There is alot more, but I do not know all of it. There are spells, but my father tried to kill me before I learned everything. All of my stuff was left with him.... She watched quietly, sapphire eyes focusing on the wound, concentrating on her connection to her blood as her blood seeped into Anne's wounds. She felt herself heat up slightly as her blood duplicated rapidly within the other wolf. She lifted her eyes to Anne after a few moments, pondering the question.

Anne nodded her understanding. She looked down, "Thanks for healing me."

She walked back to the village with her head bowed, one rival subdued, several likely to be discouraged. She was well on her way to securing herself as the alpha female.

Seph nodded softly, grabbing her bag and walking back with Anne, her tail wagging lightly as they walked back into the village. She reached into her bag and wrapped her wrist in a cloth to hopefully help stop the bleeding finally. Her sapphire eyes sought out Baraek and she smiled faintly, walking to him quietly, holding her injured hand behind her back slightly as she moved up behind him.

"Hello love..." She said softly as she moved to nuzzle him gently.

Seph nodded softly, grabbing her bag and walking back with Anne, her tail wagging lightly as they walked back into the village. She reached into her bag and wrapped her wrist in a cloth to hopefully help stop the bleeding finally. Her sapphire eyes sought out Baraek and she smiled faintly, walking to him quietly, holding her injured hand behind her back slightly as she moved up behind him.

"Hello love..." She said softly as she moved to nuzzle him gently.

He turned around and smiled, "Hello pet."

He sniffed the air, why did he smell blood. He smelled it on her specifically. He noticed the hand she was hiding, and gently but firmly pulled it out from behind her. "What happened?"

She smiled brightly at his name for her before the smile dropped as she watched him sniff the air. He grabbed her wrist and she flinched slightly at the pain.

"What happened?" He demanded. She pulled her wrist back gently to relieve the pressure of his grip. She frowned a little, ears turning to rest against her skull.

"I was getting salt and... well we will just say I have gone up in ranks." She shrugged softly with an innocent smile.

She smiled brightly at his name for her before the smile dropped as she watched him sniff the air. He grabbed her wrist and she flinched slightly at the pain.

"What happened?" He demanded. She pulled her wrist back gently to relieve the pressure of his grip. She frowned a little, ears turning to rest against her skull.

He looked relieved, "Ah, I had a feeling that's why you were asking after a female challenging you. So I take it you did well. Good for you, I kind of wish I was there to see it."

He hadn't intended to grip her wrist so harshly. He pulled her in for a hug, "I'm glad you're alright though."

 

[Sephrenia]

She smiled softly as he pulled her to him, hugging her gently. She wrapped her arms around him lightly, resting her cheek against his chest, trailing her nails slowly along his spine

"I am very good. The wound is mostly healed, just sore. I healed her wounds. " she smiled again, letting her eyes fall closed as she cuddled against him quietly.

I was born with blood that automatically heals faster than even shifter blood does, my father called it a disorder but it was a sign of my gift, a gift my mother burned for."

She smiled faintly and nuzzled her head back against his chest lightly for a moment before pulling away.

"So what should we do with the rest of the day, Alpha?" She asked him curiously.

She tilted her head slightly at the suggestion, a soft smile playing across her muzzle as she nodded.

"Yes sir..." She said softly as she followed his gaze for a moment before turning to head in the direction of the rib cage den quietly. She did not know if he would follow later, as he had last time or if they would go together this time, so she walked slow enough for him to catch up and go with her.

He rubbed her buttocks. "I won't need to discipline now will I?"
