Close to the heart of the Allir Reach rests a field of wild flowers. Flowers in the shape of bells with a range of colors rivaled only by the rainbow. Flowers that make potent medical herbs and potions. And in the middle of this field of flowers is a great monument of a gracious king holding up a bell in one hand as a sword is pointed towards a field of flowers in the other. A memorial to a miraculous victory when this king won an impossible battle by the blessings of the gods against an army that contained more soldiers than fingers on your hand for each of his own. A temple made of carved marble with flowers, bells, and soldiers into its walls stood nearby.
Pilgrims, doctors, and priests all gathered in this place of beauty. Some came to worship and ask that the gods bless them as well. Some came to learn of medicine to heal others in the way the gods had healed the king's soldiers of the sickness that had effected them before the battle. Some came to see the historic place where the impossible came to pass and birthed the kingdom currently ruling the land.
Asa was here for a different reason. He was here not to worship. He was here not to learn. He was here not see history. The cambion doctor was here for the wild flowers about the place. His stock had been used up and he needed to resupply. After the events in Elbion, his usual method of sending students to get him more as part of a research trip wasn't currently possible. No, he was having to restock his supplies himself. So it required he come to this land yet again. It required he come to face to face with the statue he had seen countless times already. While others around him reveled in the beauty and experience of the place he stood waiting on the tourists to clear out enough he could gather the wild flowers.
The man looked at the statue. No smile or frown upon his face. No look of awe or disgust. His face was as blank as the marble before him. Guards were having to actively shove people away from the statue to keep them all from trying to touch it or even chip part of it away. He was not one of them. Mostly he was just remembering the events of that day. Remembering what his part of that declared miracle of a day. Remembering the man who was being memorialized by the statue.
