Ideas for entry:
1, Orc or tracker that followed them from the first thread.
2, Slave that is rebelling and gets lost in the vaults
3, Mage or Arcanist that has tracked this strange magical energy or archway.
4, An undercover elven agent (or someone great at disguise) as one of those present there, gathering information or trying to stop them using the archway (Mcgubbin) for evil purposes.
5, A new bad guy assisting events to blind the world or foster ignorance of what is known. Perhaps because you want certain knowledge covered up yourself.
Feel free to enter as any of these or your own idea. It's obviously a thread with a clear story this one and deep within a dangerous territory, you can bring NPCs as you wish, with the understanding that they'd need to sneak if they don't want to be discovered quickly. Except for Daiches who is established as Ktaris's mentor, you can also use any NPCs as you like present within the story in your posts, sparing the Blight Born a god-modded death if you would, as they have had some small development also as a rival within the council.
