Managing the newly formed Cabal of Amenthes was no easy feat. Emperor Gerra had tasked his Vizier of Stars with both the formation and upkeep of the organization but had given little instruction on exactly what he wanted done with it. Medja had decided that the best means of accomplishing her latest mission was to build public relations between the Cabal, their undead servants, and the good people of the Empire. The defense of Tel-Madu had been a good start, demonstrating that the necromancers within were a force for good when it came to protecting Imperial citizens and interests, but there was much more work to do when it came to realizing her vision for the Cabal.

To that end, Medja had ordered several of her informants to be on the lookout for opportunities to raise public opinion on undead. Thankfully, one of her spies had found just such an individual: one Kharia Na'amro. The woman had been spotted recently in Kaliti territory and, once aware of her presence and certain of what she was, Medja made sure to have her invited to meet with Ragash's representative on the Imperial Divan, herself.

Of course, it would be up to the travelling vampire herself whether or not she'd take Medja up on her offer, but the invitation was on the table, nonetheless. On this particular afternoon the vizier found herself in her office dealing with paperwork and ensuring that Ragash's inner workings ran smoothly. If by chance Kharia was to arrive, members of the Imperial Hands would be waiting to receive her.

It wasn't that Kharia felt intimidated when she received the summons, it was just that she knew things would get annoyingly complicated for her if she refused. Following the guards, as she was admitted through the gate, she kept a firm hand on the hilt of her Chokúto just in case something went awry. This entire situation felt thick with tension, she was a Vampire among humans and, if the summons was any indication, they knew it too and they weren't afraid to let her know it. It was no wonder they were a little on edge, but she wasn't going to make a move if they didn't.

When they arrived at the door, the guards knocked and stood beside her as they waited, staring at her up and down. One of them seemed a little more disgusted than the rest, staring at her with thinly veiled disdain that only a bigot could possess. He didn't seem particularly interested in hiding it, seeming unsurprised when she stared back at him, raising a bored eyebrow.
"Want to check my pants for poor abducted humans? I keep them there next to the coffin and the tomes of black magic." She said dryly, moving forward and leaving him to stew as she stepped into the office. "Prick..."
