A neatly-written letter was returned to her several days later, albeit with a noticeably unslapped courier.

Hello there.

News of my death was greatly exaggerated, indeed. Though some wish that there'd been truth to that news.

I don't wish to speak much on the matter of my return through post, as you've sent your message anonymously, nevertheless, I will share that while I did leave Vel Anir, my loyalties never swayed to those of the exiles. As I did not commit any actions directly against the city, I was not punished as such.

I'll be departing on a mission to the Bayou Garramarisma soon. I hear they have some very interesting hangover cures. Perhaps I will bring some back for you upon my return, should you wish to speak further.
