Creating a religion

I've been meaning to create a religion, any advice?

Also the religious tongue and beliefs have already been handled

Well, depends on what type of religion you wanna make.
A cult?
A paladin order?
A cleric church?
A dark temple?

Light?
Dark?
Grey?

Pacifist?
Peaceful?
Violent?
Slightly Hostile?

Tea?

Maybe include what their goal is as well for their god(s), what motivates them etc.

Lara Angiris When it comes to religions you have to remember it is not just about a set of beliefs but also a way of life. Ever action you take or don't take has to have purpose and point. There is no such thing as whims with a religion unless it is literally the god that is whimsical and so the purpose if just fulfilling said whim.

To make an example, in some religions you are not allowed to eat certain things because they are sacred or "unclean". There is deep meaning behind why they are like that. Quirks like this give the religion life and impact the worshipers' lives more than a couple of hours on Sunday morning. Try to add those oddities in but remember they need to have a serious reason as to why they exist not just because they seem cool or funny. Your characters are taking it very serious even if you are not after all.
