Private Tales Cherry Rose Inc. Reunion

A private roleplay only for those invited by the first writer
Eilerias rummaged through Ogden's well-organized kitchen, settling on a stale baguette that had been sitting out, probably something he was saving for himself. She sat on the counter, ripping off pieces and eating them before Isak came in after her. He had questions, of course.

She stared at the ground, her eyes still speckled with hints of purple that didn't seem to fade with time. She shrugged when he asked her what happened. She didn't have an answer for him. Not one she was willing to share, at least.

What am I supposed to tell him? The truth? She thought to herself. Of course not. That would break his heart. It would destroy him to know the things she went through that he couldn't prevent.

She reached out and grabbed his hand and allowed her powers to flow into him, sealing whatever wounds he had. It was quick, much faster than she'd ever healed before, but still painful for her. Perhaps the shadows weren't inhibiting her powers for once or perhaps it was a blessing from Sol'Nityr. She didn't know. She didn't have the energy to care.

As he apologized, she shook her head. He had nothing to apologize for. He wasn't the one who did anything wrong. It was her. She was the one causing problems for herself and anyone around her.

She heard the sound of Gilgamesh leaving and hopped off the counter, peeking through the door as he looked back at the group. "Farewell." She whispered before moving out of the way so Charity could escort Urchin into the kitchen.

She looked over the boy, quietly noting how pale he was. Was he still bleeding? She wondered, ignoring his objections as she moved his shirt to get a better look. There was a small scar from Lidia's healing. Eilerias could get rid of that quite easily while she replenished whatever he lost from his injuries.

Eilerias was confused as he fought her. He was injured, why would he refuse healing? Was he uncomfortable with others seeing him in this state? She didn't know. She had only just met the lad. "Perhaps we can take this somewhere a little more quiet." She tried to support the boy as she slowly walked him to the stairs. She didn't have the strength to carry a teenage boy like some of the others, but she tried her best, bringing him to her and Isak's room, where she laid him in their bed and began her healing.

"It will only take a moment." She promised him, as she set her hand on his chest and began to heal him.

As Eilerias lifted the lad's shirt to get a better look at the boy's injuries though, she would find the task a great deal more difficult than she had bargained for. Besides the expected sight of the blood drenched shirt and the scar where the assassin's blade had pierced his chest... It seemed that someone else had already beaten the assassin to the punch. The lad was already wrapped in bandages, presumably the result of some other injury that he'd suffered earlier... Or perhaps not, considering that if Eilerias looked closely, she might see the edge of a small tattoo protruding from those bandages, right beneath the boy's collar bone. Before Eilerias could get a better look though, the boy snatched the corner of his shirt from her, pulling it down and literally snapping her hand away as the poor woman tried to heal him.

"Stop it!" Urchin yelled at her angrily, clinging protectively to his blood stained shirt. "I said I'm fine! Why wun anybody listen to me!" After his little outburst though, the lad noticed the look of shock on poor Eilerias's face and suddenly felt incredibly guilty. She was only trying to help after all, and he had snapped at her for it. "I... I'm sorry," he said sadly, leaning on the kitchen counter for support. "I didn't mean to I just... I reckon I'm in shock is all. Maybe I should... Go lie down for a second."

Feeling suddenly very ashamed of himself for his behaviour against Eilerias, and also wanting to escape all the people who wanted to poke and prod him no matter how many times he insisted he was alright, the boy stumbled his way to the door, still leaning on the counter for support. Once he no longer had any counter to lean on though, he found he no longer had the strength to hold himself upright and just collapsed right there on the kitchen floor. "I'm fine!" he insisted again, despite the fact that he very clearly wasn't. Luckily Eilerias was there to lend him a hand and help him up the stairs. "Thank you," the lad said wearily, leaning heavily on the woman, causing her to support the vast majority of his weight. Not that he weighed very much.

As she helped him up the stairs, the boy's guilt set in even deeper. "I... I'm real sorry Miss Eile, I didn't mean ta slap yer hand like that. Dunno what came over me. Don't feel myself, ya know. Don't feel myself at all." Finally, Eilerias managed to get him up the stairs and into Isak's room, and Urchin practically collapsed onto the bed, never having felt so completely and utterly exhausted in his life. Yet still, he was strong enough to resist again when Eilerias attempted to heal him once more.

"No, no, no," he objected once again, only this time a lot less forcefully, simply taking Eilerias's hand and moving it away while he used his other hand to shield his wound. "Ya dun need ta waste yer healin' on me, I'll be fine... I'm just... So tired is all... Think I'll just... Close my eyes for a minute," and with that, the lad rested his head on the pillows and shut his eyes, with his hand still clinging protectively to his shirt.

"No need to thank me." Eilerias' voice was calm as she helped him up the stairs. "Really, its my job. It's what I do." The kid was heavier than he looked, or maybe Eilerias was just exhausted. "You don't have to be embarrassed to ask for some help, everyone here has been in your shoes. That's why Gwendolyn brought me here."

She waited until he was on the bed to respond to his apology. "Its alright. I don't feel quite like myself either to be honest. It's been a rather...eventful night, I'd say."

She tried to continue her healing only to be met with more resistance. "It's not a waste, Urchin." She backed off, giving him some space. "I'm just a little concerned and I know Charity would be too if you were out getting yourself hurt on her watch. She's very fond of you. You know that, of course. I'd say her and I are fairly close, but I doubt she'd let even me stay with her for longer than a day. You must really be something spe-"

Her ramblings were cut short by the sound of soft snoring. "Hello?" She said quietly, poking Urchin. At least she wouldn't have to use her own powers when she could simply bore people to sleep.

She gently pushed Urchin onto his back after there was no response from her prodding and took off his shirt. She would give him one of Isak's when she was done. The thing was covered in blood and didn't fit him anyway. Tossing it to the side, she assessed what she was dealing with. Bloody bandages covering the poor lad. What the hell could he have gotten into that required so many bandages? Maybe he could see the future and knew he would get stabbed. Was that possible? Surely it wasn't.

Maybe it was like some bizarre homemade armor. That seems like something someone might do...maybe. Better to protect the heart if you anticipate messing with the wrong people.

She unwrapped Urchin, glancing at the tattoo briefly before running over to a cupboard and pulling out some bandages Isak had stocked. There was no blood, no cuts, no scars but she wrapped Urchin back up in clean bandages. And of course, woke him up while trying to wrestle his arms into one of Isak's tops. "Sorry, go back to sleep, its okay. You're okay."

"I'm glad you could join us Daddy! It was a nice surprise to be able to see you in person!" Charity said cheerily with a big grin. "We'll be okay for now thanks to you and Cleo!"
Charity came up and kissed him on the cheek and he took it stoically as always, "I am glad that you are glad, Charity. This night certainly could have gone better, but perhaps we'll have some peace for a while now."
"Umm... Daddy... I know you're a very busy man, but if you can find the time at some point, there are some things I would like to ask you about what happened tonight!"
He nodded, "Of course. My next free moment I will be sure to let you know, we have much to go over, and the importance will certainly put it near the top of my list. We will speak soon, I promise."
She kissed him again and returned to her friends.

Gilgamesh turned and disappeared into the night.
