Caliane was looking at him the way someone might look at a horse they were thinking of buying, assessing his weight and her own capabilities. She had carried people before in flight but that was when she was at peak physical fitness, she was confident she wouldn't be able to fly the half an hour she had been able to before with a passenger. Standing up after finishing the plum she dusted the sand off her backside and shook out her arms and wings a little bit.
"I'm not in my peak fitness, so it would only be a short journey," Cali admitted, her lips downturning in disappointment at herself and anger at the situation. However, even then her kind were naturally stronger and faster than humans. Even in her weakened state she could probably carry a heavy load for a quick 10 minute flight. Her wings, like that of any ariel beast, were pure muscle despite the fluffy exterior. Avariel even at times used their wings in a fight as they packed a horrible punch.
Caliane motioned for Willis to stand up as she bounced up and down on her toes to get the blood circulating. Her lips twitched at his doubtful expression. Once he was stood up she hooked one hand under his knees, the other around his back and under his arms, and swept him off his feet and into her arms. Flaring her wings out again she gave him a smirk.
"Hold on."
With a burst of her wings she shot them both into the air, albeit at a much slower pace than she had taken on her own.
