Fae Courts A Faceless Lie

Threads open to all members of the Fae Courts group
Dazed, Fionn grunted and pushed down on the fox fae, but his concentration was no longer on keeping her deadly self away from his vital organs. His depth perception was swimming between near and far, but he chanced removing one hand from a wrist he was pinning. It closed around her throat, and Fionn watched her with blood gushing from his nose. Grip tightening, Fionn was desperate to kill her now.

She was spiteful, not one to stay down, and he could not help but feel admiration for such fire burning in her.

But she released their current strong lead about the rebels.

"I will wear your pelt better than a crown, girl." He promised, pressing down at her throat. "A shame to see you go."

Fionn could hear the guards arrive, someone calling out "Protect the Queen!" and that was all that was needed to distract him that one momentary second. His hand burned hot with light, lightly searing at her skin like a brand.

Light ready to blind them all if it meant to protecting the Queen.

"Bring me to the specialist cells. I'd like to see what has caused the rebels to act so swiftly."

Yvoire followed the Queen if only to ensure that she was kept safe. Of course, she trusted those in the Nexus to protect her, but Yvoire was as silvertongued as they came. An influence she rarely used, but it was ready with every word that graced her lips.

Her eyes went wide seeing the savage, beastly rebel loose in the corridor, slitting the throat of a prison guard. Instinct had her standing before the Queen, and a blade forged from illusion was quickly in her hand as she took a defensive position.

"Stay where you are." Her voice was the softest thing in their surroundings. Gentle and sweet, the type of tenderness that struck at the heartstrings and made one calm and turn to listen. "You are committing a great crime in this Court."

The rebel slowly stood straight, staring at the Princess with shock.

"Who helped you?" Yvoire asked, still not moving from her place before the Queen.

"A friend."

The Princess stiffened. Slowly, she half turned her head to speak to her cousin. "Command the Nexus to advance but keep this rebel alive. I can hold him in place, but we must clear the cell first before continuing."
