Appearance

Charity has short, roughly cut, messy blonde hair that is kept clipped off to the side. She has cerulean eyes set into her round face, and lips that are perpetually pouting.

She is normally seen wearing a jacket with rolled up sleeves over a tank top, along with brown fingerless gloves. Along with that she wears pants and brown calf high boots.

She has a blood red rose tattoo on the back of her right shoulder. On her left shoulder, she has an elegantly drawn thorny vine tattoo that covers from the top of her shoulder to partway down her arm.

A worn leather sheath containing a pair of daggers is also belted across the small of her back.

Skills and Abilities

Escape Artist: She can usually get herself out of any situation she finds herself in. From finding a way to exit a locked room, to sweet talking her way to freedom, there's always a way out.

Light-Footed: Extremely nimble, fast, and light on her feet. Being a lightweight, she's able to sneak around decently well.

Light-Fingered: Could steal the nose off of your face and you probably wouldn't even notice.

Master Thief: Can find a way to steal almost anything. From the smallest trinkets, to whole shipments of goods, she'll find a way to get her hands on it.

Illusionist: Has a loose grasp on auditory and visual illusion magic. This is completely controlled by her imagination. It can only be used for short periods of time as it quickly wears her out. The bigger and more complex the illusion is, the more energy it takes.

Dual Wielding: Charity is able to effectively wield two small bladed weapons at once.

Though Charity perceives these new skills as a "psychic" sort of magic, they are in reality born of demonic influence. It seems that after so many years spent around Amadeus Greywood, some of his demonic energy had rubbed off on her.

Though users of this energy grow stronger the more they use it, it comes at the cost of their sanity and/or morality. Charity can use these powers for short periods of time, but she gets easily overwhelmed by voices in her head and shadows only she can see that don't really exist if she tries to use it for extended periods of time.

"Telekenisis": Using the demonic energy, Charity is able to lift small to medium sized objects without physically touching them.

Energy Manipulation: Charity can focus the energy around parts of her body to be able to run faster, punch harder, form the energy into a makeshift weapon, ect. But she can also use it as a sort of short distance projectile. If she uses the energy in the form of a weapon, damage is inflicted on the target, but no visible marks are left behind.

Personality

Charity is a rowdy young woman whose main goal in life is just to have fun. Her life motto is "If its not fun, why do it?" and this is what informs all of her decisions. Anything she does is more or less for her own amusement, and she's always seeking the next fun adventure, whether that be attempting to steal a well guarded item, or just wasting the day drinking and gambling.

After getting caught stealing numerous times in her younger days, Charity developed a strong distaste for law enforcement and really, authority of any kind. She feels like their goal is restrict her freedom to do what she wants to do, and be who she wants to be. Any opportunity to disrupt the law or cause trouble in general is taken readily.

Despite her name, Charity tends to be quite selfish. She steals from the rich, and gives to... well, herself mostly. She'll take nearly any job that involves stealing or spying as long as there's something in it for her.

Biography & Lore

Nothing is known about Charity's parents or her early life - she was just another nameless child wandering the streets. The only things she can recall about her early childhood in the Areck Slums are vague faces and locations. She survived her early years by stealing what food and clothing she could.

At around age 5, she was taken in by a man named Gilgamesh Briarthorne who named her Charity. He taught her how to read and write, and the ways of the criminal underworld.
