Yves is first and foremost a handsome individual. Tall, broad-shouldered, with an almost angelic face and glow to his complexion. His facial features are sharp and symmetrical. He often wears plate armor mockingly decorated with the colors of House Oudin.

He is the former middle child of House Oudin, which swears allegiance to House Pirian, one of the Seven Houses of Vel Anir. He lost all claim to his house when he was given to The Academy of Vel Anir, in exchange for political clout.

He went through The Academy with considerable difficulty, only shining towards his final years as an apprentice and under the tutelage of Duvain Le Sauvage. During his time as a young apprentice, he was noted to be driven by his emotions, particularly rage. His overwhelming wrath set him apart from his peers, although quite negatively at first.

He wields House Oudin’s trademark magic known as Spectral Arms. There are two manifestations of Spectral Arms, the more common of the two being the caster’s ability to summon only one weapon at a time. The rarer of the two, specifically referred to as Armiger, allows for the summoning of multiple weapons simultaneously, and being able to control the summoned weapons at will. Yves was born with Armiger, and spent his entire time at The Academy honing his ability.

He eventually swore to the King, much to the chagrin of House Oudin and House Pirian, and now follows in the footsteps of his mentor Duvain.
