While Surraya serves as the First Mate on the pirate ship, The Ruby Runner, she has a strong moral compass that sets her apart from most other pirates.

She is a fierce and stubborn woman, loyal to her Captain and crew.

Surraya is a woman with a mixed heritage, a result of the melting pot that is Teth. She is of average height with a curvy build, by no means is she a lithe or slender woman. For most of her life she has worked on ships, spending far more time at sea than on land, and it shows. Her skin is a rich caramel color and her long curly hair is naturally dark, though the ends have been lightened by days spent in the sun.

She has a bright and charming smile, one that lights up a room whenever it crosses her features. Laugh lines are beginning to etch themselves across her face, an indication of Suri's mirthful disposition. Her dark eyes are kind, with the hint of crow's feet starting to crinkle at the corners.
