Personality
She is a zealous follower of Gerra, the god king of the Empire. She is headstrong and loyal, but she is dogmatic and single minded in her pursuit of service to her king that she truly reveres as her god in the flesh.
But outside of her service as an immortal she is a thoughtful person, she cares for those close to her and goes out of her way to help those in her community who need help, especially orphans that struggle to find a place for themselves.

Biography
The Beginnings
A New Life
Shaharyzad was the child of a mighty warrior of the grand army of Ragash, the Red Sands. She lived with her mother and whenever he returned home her father would tell her stories of the battles he was in. The glory of battle was portrayed to her in epic detail as her father wove his words like a tapestry, telling epic stories of war, heroism, and the spoils of war often illustrated by gifts and souvenirs brought back with him.
They lived in comfort in the city of Ragash, living on her fathers soldier pay and the money her mother made off of crafting and selling ornate carpets. The city was beautiful and life was good for them, it wasn't perfect but they were happy.
Until the battle of Ninagal...
News returned home as criers ran throughout the city. The once-grand army of Ragash, known as the Red Sands, were utterly decimated at the Battle of Ninagal. In turn, the news utterly decimated Shaharyzad and her mother, her father wouldn't be coming home. Almost immediately, by some cruel twist of fate or joke of the gods, her mother was immediately struck with a fatal illness, and within days she passed away as well. A broken heart couldn't be restored, and now Shaharyzad was suddenly alone for the first time.
The city surrendered unconditionally to their conqueror, and that was the first time Shaharyzad saw Gerra.
He rode through the gates of Ragash, the victor over the Red Sand army. He led a procession through the front gates and Shaharyzad watched him from the crowd. At the sight of him she was awestruck, some about her whispered the word “Djinn”, a being that her father had told her about in his stories, and she believed them now. This man who would be the god king, certainly had the power to accomplish his goal.
It wasn't long before everything her parents owned were taken by the city, leaving Shaharyzad without a home, but instead of being turned out to the streets she was placed in an orphanage.
This is when her life truly turned upside down...

This is when her life truly turned upside down...
A New Life
Shaharyzad was taken in by the orphanage, she was one of many orphan, but she was mistaken to think this was an ordinary orphanage. To outsiders it was an orphanage, but to the Empire it was the Madrassa of War
Children weren't adopted at this orphanage, they didn't get to run around and play or have fun like they used to. The proprietor of this orphanage instead took the children and forced them into brutal training regimes, teaching them the art of death and silence and to ultimately become the elite soldiers of Gerra's army.
This was the life Shaharyzad and the other orphans were forced into, but it was all they had. In exchange for food, shelter and education they were to become the kings soldiers.
When Shaharyzad learned that this was to be her fate she initially rebelled, that man and his army killed her father, she didn't want to serve him!
But as time went on and she learned more about Gerra as she was taught, over time she grew to admire him... No, not simply admire him, but as she learned of his power and character and who he was as a king she was fully convinced that he stood among the pantheons as a god in the flesh!
She only spent a few years in the Madrassa of War until she turned eighteen. By this time she was fully trained in the art of assassins, and due to her zealous loyalty to Gerra was ultimately christened as a full fledged member of the Immortals, the special group of assassins that served as Gerra's personal bodyguards and assassins.
