Liyah Nazari
Not fragile like a flower, fragile like a bomb
-Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Appearance
Liyah has thick, dark curly hair, strikingly pale blue eyes, a straight nose, full lips, and a square jaw. Her skin is a smooth caramel and she has a curvy figure.
She struggled with her hair, skin, and figure in her teenage years, and she dove deep into skin care and self care in an attempt to look better- to get smooth skin, tame her hair, and shape and accentuate her figure. Now that she's older she's accomplished what she was going for, but she still keeps up a rigorous skin and self care routine.
She dresses elegantly in colorful and expensive fabrics and sparkling jewelry as if to appear more important than she actually is.

Skills and Abilities
Smooth talker- Growing up the daughter of a noble family, Liyah learned quickly how to flirt, flatter, and manipulate. Even though she was from a minor noble family, she has used her words to climb the ladder a bit at a time.
Well Read- Liyah has always had a love for reading. She can read quickly and when reading a good book will sometimes disappear into her room for hours on end.
Alchemist- During her teenage years, she spent a lot of time mixing different herbs and oils and other natural materials in order to help her skin and hair etc. She knows the meanings and purposes of a lot of these herbs and oils and can brew a selection of different teas to help with everything from a smooth complexion to smooth digestion.

Personality
Liyah is ambitious, vain, entitled, conniving, and condescending, but this does not mean she has no moral compass. She draws her own personal line for her conscience. She compartmentalizes most things in her head, and it is because of this that she does not descend back to the child she was.
She can come off as selfish when in reality she has just learned how to take care of herself in a way that most other Kaliti women haven't. She can fake subservience and obedience to men but makes sure she is not a doormat they can walk all over. If she is ever quiet or sweet most of the time it's an act; but she is capable of being genuinely kind when she wants to.
Biography & Lore
Liyah is the third child to Lord Harabi and his late wife. She has two older brothers who share the same parents as her. Her mother died giving birth to Liyah, and when she was six, her father remarried. She has two younger half brothers.
She and her stepmother have never gotten along. When she was younger, she was her father's favorite- she was his only girl and he would spoil her. Her stepmother didn't like that, and when Liyah was a teenager, her stepmother would remind her constantly she was never good enough- her skin wasn't perfect, her hair wasn't perfect, her body wasn't perfect, and she was too brazen and obnoxious for any man to marry her. This was in part why she dove so deeply into skin care and self care, to spite her stepmother.
She was indeed brazen, obnoxious, and rebellious in her early teenage years. When her stepmother began her torment, Liyah knew her stepmother was right and hated her for it. Her stepmother was wrong, however, when she said Liyah would never amount to anything- Liyah worked on herself and her appearance and when she was 18, she landed a marriage to the eldest son of House Nazari and also became a handmaiden for the only daughter of the prince of Annuakat.
She left her family behind as she started her new life. But, even still, it was far from perfect. She hated her husband- most nights he was warming another woman's bed and he hadn't warmed Liyah's bed since their wedding night. She was growing increasingly agitated as the court began whispering about her womb being barren and how she was incapable of bearing children.
