Ketu, a Young Blue Dragon from Malakath
A blue dragon from the Jagged Teeth range of Malakath, bonded with the tiefling Phelaia Hope.
Appearance
Ketu is a young blue dragon of 18 years, born wild and free in the Jagged Teeth. He stands just shy of 10 feet at the shoulder, about 22 feet long, and 33 feet wingtip to wingtip, just large enough for his tiefling Phelaia to ride without overly tiring him.
Skills and Abilities
Ketu can climb at about 35 mph, soar long distance at about 95 mph, fly level for moderate distances at up to 135 mph, and swoop as fast as 190 mph. He needs a couple hundred feet to pull out of a swoop.
Ketu has greenish blue dragonfire of intense heat, capable of hurting even other fire dragons. As a young dragon, he can only really use a full breath once a day without straining himself, and no more than 2-3 times in total. This is aside from short little puffs to start campfires, goof off, or punctuate one of his 'mouth-offs.'
Ketu has sharp teeth and claws, and can wing buffet just hard enough to knock a grown man off balance. He is strong enough to carry an extra 200 pounds easily, and up to a half-ton for short distances.
Ketu understands Draconic and Trade-Tongue, but does not yet speak. He understands everything his tiefling says, perfectly well. He just doesn't always choose to listen to it.

Personality
Ketu is curious, protective, and usually hungry, sniffing everything nearby in any new environment. As something equivalent to a freespirited teenager, he is not the closest listener.
Biography & Lore
Ketu hatched from the egg atop one of the Jagged Teeth 18 1/2 years ago, at the the exact same moment on the exact same day as his tiefling, Phelaia Hope, was born in the slums of faraway Thagretis. He grew up wild in the Jagged Teeth, hunting cuudruu and fishing tuna and sailfish. One day some eighteen years later, he ran afoul of a pack of Skull Devils. Phelaia, a tiefling pathfinder, came upon the scene, killed one of the devils with her bow, and helped him escape the rest, ending up on the dragon's back, holding on for dear life with her claws. The pair bonded at first touch, surprising both of them. After managing to take off and fly a short distance away to complete their escape from the devils, Phelaia thanked the dragon and tried to go about her way, but found that the dragon kept following her. Gestures to go 'be free' didn't help. Talking to him didn't help. Shouting at him made him snort and puff fire in the air. She had no choice but to become his tiefling. Phelaia seems scared of the land to the north, only letting him fly low to the ground and behind foothills. Ketu doesn't want her to be so scared, so he listens sometimes.
