Appearance

He’s tan-skinned and has a fit body build. He has short, dirty blond hair that’s about an inch in length. His eyes are brown. He’s about average height.

He dresses in brown, hooded monk robes. He has a necklace tied around his neck that bears the holy symbol of the Messengers.

Skills and Abilities

Jon’s an expert in unarmed combat, having trained in it for years. He fights by avoiding his enemy's attacks and whittling away at them until they're tired. Or he'll try to disarm them and knock them out quickly. Even without a weapon, he's not to be underestimated.

But he has all the disadvantages that could come from not using a weapon. He struggles to harm anyone wearing armor and, due to not wearing it himself, he's less durable than other fighters.

Jon's also a well-learned person, he knows a lot about history, language, and other similar topics. He's especially knowledgable in areas of religion.

Personality

He’s a kind-hearted young man who’ll try to help others where he can. Even when people use this against him or lie to him, he’s remained committed to being altruistic. This doesn’t mean he’s ignorant or naïve about the world around him though. He simply refuses to let it change him for the worst. He’s a member of the Messengers and is a devout one at that. He happily spreads the message to those who'll listen and helps his coreligionists wherever he can.

He’s a polite and patient person in most cases, although even he can be pushed too far. Despite his faith, he sometimes struggles with various temptations, such as greed, and tries to avoid exposing himself to them when he can. He desires to help the Messengers reclaim lost relics and structures from before the Age of Chronicles. Which he believes will help them become more prominent in Arethil.

Biography & Lore

Jon Paul's an orphan who was raised by the Messengers in the city of Maraan. He was especially interested in the history of the Messengers, and, when he turned twenty, left home on a quest to unearth more of it. Although, he'll happily help anyone he meets on the way.
