Ganzaya
A mysterious entity that has lingered in Raea's shadow--literally-- her entire life. A Yōsei Warden from a faraway, treacherous land of ice and shadow. A man of very few or no words, his loyalty to Raea is unyielding and is instrumental in keeping her alive.
Appearance
Ganzaya is often observed as a man with chilling eyes and hardened, stoic features. As a man he is imposing and tall, with a welterweight build and pale complexion. He possesses long, dark hair typical of the Yōsei that he keeps wrapped in a braided leather band and eyes that have been known to shift from dark grey to silver. He wears the dark uniform of Raea’s house and uses a sword as a weapon. It is said among the ranks of Wardens, Ganzaya’s dedication to his swordsmanship is admirable.
Skills and Abilities
Ganzaya is stitched together from cursed, sentient shadows. As such, he is capable of melding in with shadows and utilizing them to his advantage should the right environment come into play. Like shadows, Ganzaya is known to fade in and out of existence, and is often the haunting, whispering voice in Raea’s ear that instructs her how to better utilize her skills. His unique biology allows him to exist with mass that constantly changes. The more anchored he is in existence, the better chance he has of being struck.
An impressive martial artist, Ganzaya’s form focuses on strength and defense. As Raea’s warden his sole purpose is to protect her. His favored weapon is a sabre, which he is rarely seen without. Despite his ability to pass for a humanoid, his favored shape is that of a snake that often varies in size. Regardless of his form, Ganzaya is known to move with preternatural grace and lethality.

Personality
Stoic and intense, Ganzaya is far from what one would consider approachable. His eyes are constantly scouting, calculating and judging. Despite this, he is deeply committed to his position as a Warden to Raea, and some speculate he may even love her. As an heir to her father's throne, Ganzaya considers it a high honor to be her protector. A man of few words, he only speaks to Raea, though it was said to be by design and not choice. While he can be seen, he is forbidden speaking to others, and more often than not speaks to Raea through Empathy by sharing his emotions.
