"Nobility. Restraint. Responsibility. Refinement. Worthless words all. I am here for one purpose and one purpose only: to slay all that is foul and wretched."

- Evangeline Westryn

Appearance

A toweringly tall woman Evangeline cuts a very distinct figure with pallid green eyes that are said to only alight in the midst of bloodshed. Her face is often frames by platinum blonde hair so pale as to seem white in certain lighting, in stark contrast to that of her sister Kael Westryn, though originally her hair was of a similar color it changed when she was blessed by their Kingdom's principle war god.

Evangeline possesses a face most would call 'beautiful' though she places no stock in this fact. A thin nose, smooth skin and symmetrical features make her conventionally quite attractive. Though much like her sister Kael Evangeline is far from curvy, possessing a much more petite figure at first glance, though in truth she is hardly a soft woman. Reveling in bloodshed and combat as she does, training with inexorable ferocity, beneath her practical garb lies a physique hardened and chiseled into one where fat can scarcely be found.

Skills and Abilities

+ Blessed by War

Evangline chose to follow the path of her people's War God upon reaching adulthood and was successfully blessed with their favor. Turning her hair from her family's natural chocolate brown to a near-white blonde and making her quite formidable. This blessing enhanced Evangeline's strength, speed and endurance time to levels more akin to a vampire or otherwise superhuman than a well-trained woman. Her strength is enough to nearly match an ogre, mass and momentum not withstanding, she won't be clashing blades with one for her own good.

At a full sprint Evangeline can reach speeds of around 30 miles per hour though she hesitates to go above 20 for the simple fact that her boots rarely survive her maximum sprint for long. What makes this, and her combat abilities in general, so terrifying is that Evangeline possessed nigh inexhaustible stamina when in combat and her adrenaline is flowing. Though this does not allow her to forego her need for sleep so while she could fight every waking hour of the day she would eventually need to rest, but until such a time she could operate at near peak efficiency if she pushed herself.

+ Ceaseless Training

On top of the boons bestowed on her Evangeline devotes a vast majority of her time not engaged in active combat to training her capabilities with her twin blades to the highest degree she can. Though she is not quite yet a master of swordplay she is skilled enough to keep up with nearly anyone she could cross blades with on Arethil.

+ Duty and Sacrifice

While also tenants she holds dear Duty and Sacrifice are the names of Evangeline's twin blades. Magically enchanted with their own effects to enhance her efficacy in combat the simplest enchantment upon them both is that they are stronger, more durable, than any common steel blade. Able to weather being used by Evangeline's blessed strength without chipping or dulling.

Duty is the blade of flame and justice wrought upon the wretched. Duty possesses enchantments allowing it to absorb flame and heat from external sources and is commonly used by Evangeline to douse campfires during her travels. Though this blade is especially deadly to fire elementals or genasi as it can drink the very flame from their being it also possesses the uncanny, and quite amusing, ability to swat fireballs from the air. Naturally Duty can release these stored flames at Evangeline's will into all sorts of shapes to accompany her blade swings.

Sacrifice is the blade of blood and an eternal promise to repay every drop of blood ever stolen from good and innocent people. Sacrifice possesses an ancient enchantment, barely known to her people any longer, allowing it to pull blood from any source it comes into contact with. This includes any foe stabbed by Evangeline or, in desperate confrontations, to even drink in Evangeline's own blood for use. The most common use for Sacrifice that Evangeline employs is forming the blood into a hardened extension of the blade when one attempts to dodge, catching them despite their efforts, or when in the bind blade to blade willing blood to shoot from Sacrifice to impale her opponent with ruthless efficiency.

= Still Somewhat Human

Despite her blessings and possessing an enhanced fortitude/durability such that her own strength doesn't tear her apart while using it Evangeline is still human in anatomy and biology. She can still be poisoned, still possesses all the same vital organs and every other weakness your average human does.

- To Live to Kill

Evangeline is not quite a sociopath but that does not mean she has particularly good social graces. Her demeanor when outside of combat could best be described as 'uninterested' or 'dull' and at worst 'frigid' to those she finds bothersome. For now and the foreseeable future battle is all she lives for and all she desires. Everything else is secondary.

Personality

As hinted above Evangeline is quite the opposite of her sister Kael. Not only does she possess none of the natural allure of her older sister but she simply does not wish to do so. While Kael studied tactics and went to court Evangeline idolized the common soldier and champions of warfare in practice, not theory. Though she still suffered through the same etiquette lessons as her sister and brothers Evangeline only learned them as rote so while she is capable of mimicking politeness she was never quite able to hide her utter disinterest in conversation.

Conversely when it the thrill of battle Evangeline comes alive like a flame stoked to an inferno. Her lips fit for make-up and courtly intrigue split into wide, eager smiles. Her eyes born to bear mascara and glitter instead adorned by blood and a nearly-unhinged zeal for battle. Her frame, brought up to be clad in dresses and finery, instead honed into a muscular, lean machine fit to slay and tear like the fiercest of jungle cats.

Evangeline became the opposite of what she was brought up to be in every way but, more importantly than that, she truly became herself.
