Eranos the Keeper
Eranos was born into slavery in the pirate city of Teth. His family were generational slaves to a cult of darkness, the leaders of whom extended their lives through the regular sacrifice of their young. The fifth son of his family, Eranos was destined to lose his soul on the altar before the elders, to feed their eternal desire to escape the realm of souls. His family raised him with this knowledge, and the cult indoctrinated him to not question his fate.
When the day came however, Eranos rebelled. He disrupted the spell during its most critical moment, and destroyed it all. He lost his soul, and his life, but his mind and body remained. Cursed to the realm of undeath, Eranos set out from Teth to seek out knowledge and power that might one day reverse what has been done to him. In his travels across the world, he has come to earn the name Eranos the Keeper, for he hoards all knowledge with a wrathful fury.
Appearance
Eranos has dark brown hair that naturally angles back along his head, always drawn into a knot at the very back. He has a well kept stock of facial hair, also a deep brown, though much like everything else about him, it never changes. He is well built, with muscles evident beneath his clothing and a dark and brooding presence. He has bright blue eyes, lacking any pupil or other color, the most evident sign of his undeath to the outside world. He wears armor of layered steel plates, with his personal heraldry, a dragon with its head surrounded by a halo, on his shoulder and chest.
Skills and Abilities
Eranos has developed a strong understanding of necromancy. While he is capable of raising the dead as skeleton warriors if he so chose, his preferred specialty relies instead on souls. His centuries of searching for a way to bring back his own soul long lost to him has given him a greater understanding of the topic. He has a strong knowledge regarding the capturing and harnessing of souls from the realm beyond, and dragging them back to the world of the living to inhabit carefully constructed bodies. In this way, Eranos creates servants that fit specific needs he has, and has the potential to create beasts of truly monstrous proportion.
In other forms of magic, Eranos has a good understanding of elemental magic with a preferred angle in ice based magic. In close combat, Eranos makes use of a cursed sword forged by his own hand during his travels across The Spine. Taking inspiration from both dwarven and orcish designs, the sword has further been enhanced with a touch of undeath. Fueled by souls, the swords is able to poison an opponent from the slightest of touches, and Eranos' adept skill at swordsmanship, developed over centuries, allows him to get this chance against his foes quite often.

Personality
Eranos the Keeper is a silent, cautious and wrathful individual. Rarely speaking unless he needs to make a point, Eranos has developed a predilection to silence that many might mistakenly attribute to him being mute. He is rarely pushed to immediate action, instead slowly approaching every aspect of his life to figure out the best solutions, and only acting once he has become certain of the outcome. When he is roused to action, he is destructive and unrelenting, and will not stop he has eradicated all in his path. He is unforgiving and cruel to those he does not consider useful to his goals, and will not hesitate to sacrifice others for the completion of his goals.
