Eira Valqen
Appearance
Eira stands at a height of 6'1" and a weight of 133 lbs. Her skin is white with a light blue tinge, giving her a frosty look. Her lips are naturally tinted blue - as well as her cheeks and eyelids. Her ears are rather long and pointy and her hair is white and at a medium length. It becomes curly at the ends. Her skin is ridden with scales at her arms, the back of her neck, and her legs. Her hands and feet are webbed. Fins line the backs of her forearms, calves and her spine. Her build is lithe but a bit more stocky than other half-elves because of the strength needed to survive in cold conditions. Her skin and hands are always cold to the touch.
Skills and Abilities
Snow Elf: As an elf, Eira has a higher level of skill in dexterity and agility than some other races may possess. She also has a solid relationship with the natural world.
As a snow elf, she can withstand extreme cold. This does mean that she has trouble in hotter temperatures. She is able to lower the temperature of things she comes into contact with to a certain degree, freezing water and the like. Her blood is cryogenic.
Kivren: Eira has the ability to breathe underwater and swim quite fast in the water. She has retained the ability to shift into more of a Kivren fish-like form, having the ability to sprout a long tail and optimize her body for aquatic life. Because of her Kivren relations, she must hydrate herself constantly and frequently returns to the water when she gets the chance. She has an affinity for communicating with sea creatures and has the mild ability to shape water. This requires a body of water nearby and it significantly dehydrates Eira, which, if overused, could lead to a quick death. She has not retained the siren song ability.
Hypnotism: The ability to manipulate others through magical means. This skill is not fully developed and Eira's only methods of learning about this discipline is through stealing books on the topic and experimenting. Because of this, Eira may only perform minor feats such as placing a thought in one's head or causing minor hallucinations that last for a short duration.

Personality
Eira can across as rather sociable and friendly, though her demeanor can become cold and harsh - she's hard on both others and herself. She will be what she needs to be in that moment. She rather dislikes most people, and is distrustful in her nature. She's emotionally detached and always scheming - you can tell by looking into her eyes.
Though she does seem to have many negative traits, when comfortable around another Eira is really quite playful. She's mischievous and this will shine through her antics.

Biography & Lore
Eira's father was a pure Snow Elf and her mother a Kivren. Her father resided in Vesturfjord with the seafaring humans who often explored the waters. He was a sailor and met Eira's mother off the coast of the Tundra. Eira's mother had been outcasted from her homeland, Kiva, due to her ruining many hunting attempts over her soft nature. She had been roaming aimlessly and feeding on what she could, moving to the cold waters up north in an attempt to try and find a purpose. Eira's father mistook this Kivren as a sea animal and captured her, soon learning that this was not the case. Eira's mother took on a human form before coming into contact with the sailors out of fear. She did not speak the common tongue and instead remained silent, speaking through gestures. Assuming that she was a lost woman, the sailors took her in and kept her safe. She began to learn the common tongue as she arrived in Vesturfjord and eventually got together with Eira's father. Shortly after the Kivren became pregnant, Eira's father was killed in a Barbarian attack. Terrified, Eira's mother decided to flee back to the cold waters, giving birth there instead.
Eira's mother quickly realized that she had nothing and that her daughter would soon die if she kept her. The waters were too dangerous for her without a pod. She gave her daughter to a family in Vesturfjord, informing them to take care of her. Not much explanation was given, and Eira seemed like a normal snow elf as an infant. Believing that perhaps the pregnancy had been unplanned and Eira's mother wasn't stable enough to support a child, the family took sympathy to her and kept the child, raising her as their own despite being humans. It was a bit tough for Eira growing up as most of the population of her village consisted of humans, but they most were kind to her nonetheless. She did a lot of work around the village as an adolescent, becoming well-known and respected. She gathered lumber for the locals and cleaned the streets.
Her father was a fisherman and her mother an adept weaver. She passed as a snow elf during her childhood, and was treated fairly due to the minority population of snow elves in Vesturfjord. In her adolescence, though, her Kivren traits began to shine through. Her scales developed and became noticeable, as well as fins sprouting from her skin. She hid everything with heavy, fur-lined clothing, terrified of what was happening to her. She hadn't been told about her true origins, though she knew she was adopted. She had just assumed she came from a family of snow elves.
Finally, as Eira reached adulthood, she was told the truth. Absolutely horrified at her own existence, Eira fled Vesturfjord and found her way to Alliria. She found a small place to stay and picked up weaving as her mother had. Sadly, this did not work out well as there were many contenders on the streets of Alliria and Eira hadn't picked up all of her mother's weaving skill. Her distrust towards other people gave her a cold nature and scared people away. She dropped weaving and resorted to theft, unable to move back to her hometown due to her state of poverty.
